Pretty much.

Kind of surprising that it wasn't until Spider-Man's 7th movie that he topped a billion.

He's easily a top 3 super hero.

I'm curious as to the dynamics that led to Spidey in CMCW. Did Sony approach Marvel/Disney with the idea? Did Feige just really want to bring Spiderman into the fold and they approached Sony?

Regardless...kudos to those responsible for making it work and to whoever was responsible for casting Holland in the role.

Ya like AC said. Sony was losing tons of money on the franchise and I am sure Marvel didn't want to wait until it was worthless and ran into the ground before stepping in to help or buy it back. They partnered up and it really was a win for both companies.
