I’ll give ya Citizen Kane but Casablanca IS a classic! Great characters.
Been really enjoying watching movies from A24 for several years. They really rely on a lot of interesting filmmaking techniques to tell their stories on limited budgets. The acting, camera angles, lighting, music, sound effects, etc are all really good. They absolutely crush the horror and coming of age genre and have made several good sci-fi's as well.Somebody mentioned French Connection. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve tried, many times, to get through it and I can’t. Hackman is one of my favorite actors, but he was horrendous in it. (As far as I got anyway)
Key Largo is considered a classic but I found it grueling to make it to the end. Just one long and boring sermon about corruption. Blech
The sad part is that these “lists” of the greatest movies always include the usual suspects. There are indie movies out there, and I mean scores of them, that blow away 80 percent of what’s on most of those “lists”
I saw it in the theater with Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. They didn't have a clue either.
That is the worst movie I have ever seen. All of that guy's movies are pretentious art film garbage. Terrence Malick cannot make a good movie. It's someone who is enamored with himself and the people who pretend to like it do so because they believe it makes them appear superior. Kudos to making a movie with Brad Pitt in it total ****.also I'm convinced that the only people that liked "The Tree of Life" were people that desperately wanted everyone to know how great their taste in movies is.
Also - I’ve never seen Blazing Saddles
-this is ********.
-also...basement finished and ready to play, still gotta get a mac and recording Interface/software.
***I will text you the name of this super secret musical kibbutz/project, gonna try to get @Bonzo Cat on board.***
I'm a sucker for about every Bogie movie. Watched To Have or Have Not last night for the first time. As a fan of Casablanca, the parallels were frequent which made it good to me.Somebody mentioned French Connection. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve tried, many times, to get through it and I can’t. Hackman is one of my favorite actors, but he was horrendous in it. (As far as I got anyway)

Gotta say this completely shocks me, in a Don-Draper-states-he's-never-actually-drank-whiskey kind of way. Also - I’ve never seen Blazing Saddles
Up yours Castle Rubric.Supposedly = alien origins of human life
Also supposedly - Pink Floyd turned down the chance to do the soundtrack....i’ve never actually confirmed that but have heard it more than once and find it interesting
i liked the weirdness of 2001
but couldn’t make it through “Citizen Kane” ....a move some have called THE Greatest Film EVER
Also - I’ve never seen Blazing Saddles
Rumor on the street is a British metal tribute band with a strong lean towards Sabbath / Motörhead / Iron Maiden. Should be dope.-this is ********.
