I thought y'all liked companies having free speech, you know the whole gay wedding cake thing and the whole allowing companies to be treated as individuals so they can make endless political donations, sorry i mean bribes, thing.Hmm. Have you not seen Psaki and Biden demanding Big Tech censorship since this administration has assumed power?
So what happens when big business and big government are joined at the hip and one does the bidding of the other? Say the multinational corporations’ interests align with the federal government, and more specifically, the ruling class’ interests. Protection of the establishment, and conversely punishment of dissenters is required.
Any of our esteemed scholars know the name of that political system?
Seems we’re almost, if not already there.
Now you want them to not have it by preventing companies from being able to regulate speech on their own platform?
If you want individuals to have freedom of speech on privately own platforms (which you don't constitutionally have), then companies can't have freedom of speech.
If you want companies to have freedom of speech on their own privately owned platforms, then individuals stand the chance of having their speech regulated on said platforms.
So which freedom of speech is it do you want? You can't have both without it being contradictory.
This is what happens when you let the conservatives on the Supreme Court place the priorities of big business over the priorities of individuals. All this would have been a non-issue had they not decided companies are individuals with the same rights as individuals, and thus given the right to freedom of speech.
