The line opened UofL -2.5. The gambling public might know something. ESPN's match up predictor has it UofL 53.4% to FSU's 46.6%. Cards need to keep the momentum going.

Projecting this game defies logic. Louisville looked completely anemic in the Ole Miss game and FSU has looked completely anemic all season. However...Louisville played and executed at a high level vs a good UCF team and a look at the recruiting ratings for FSU tells you they have a ton of talent that should be playing at a much higher level. Just hard to predict what type of game to expect from either team.

Ole miss may be pretty darn good this year. Watching wake play now and I'm not sure how we beat them so handily last year...what a difference a summer makes. Point is, don't judge our team prematurely based on the first game. I like our chances, should be a close game, but we may do something special and cover easily. How many people would have bet we cover last week?

Well let's be honest. The UCF game was the first time since 2019 where the Cards looked decent and it took a crazy INT at the end to win it. I'm not overreacting to that win either.

What I saw was an excellent game...FSU is a talent rich team and the last thing we wanted to do was send out D on the field with poor ball control. Our D gets fatigued and we do not hold onto that early lead. I know we have some FB geniuses on this board that will disagree, but I thought that was a thing of beauty. Anyone who thinks we can just roll that much talent is severely overconfident.

BTW, their QB had the same injury Teddy had while a viking. Part of me was happy to see him competing.

What you saw, from a Louisville perspective, was an exceptional first half, sans the last couple of minutes. Please don’t pump artificial sunshine.

No artificial sunshine here, not claiming we'll compete for the acc title.. but we are a limited team and we played a talented but also limited team at their place. Got the W and should be very happy that it was relatively drama free. Turnover free, D played well, offense was varied, special teams did a good job of flipping the field, solid game and super happy about it.
