Spring Game Time

I am confused as to why the spring game was ever moved from a Friday night. Makes zero sense. I have heard rumors surrounding Derby Festival events, including the All-Star events(slam dunk, 3 point contest, ect), that this is part of the reason. Too many things are going on in Louisville during a spring Saturday at 1 pm. The attendance at last years Spring Game was an absolute joke. The fan base also suffers through enough noon kicks. Anybody else feel this way or is it just me? Surprised to see no threads about the game already going...

I liked Friday night better, but not that much better. I don't think there is any more going on Saturday afternoons than Friday nights. However, attendance seems higher to me on Saturday afternoon.

Don't know if I'm going.

Afraid I'll see another loss. o_O

Easter weekend doesn't help either on my end.

Not sure if you were there last year but there's zero chance that the attendance was over 5k. None. The baseball team, numerous youth soccer/baseball leagues, afternoon kick probably all played into that. Friday night spring games under CCS and CBP's first year back all had to have over 20k in attendance.

I definitely prefer the night time atmosphere, whether it be a game or scrimmage. But, I don't have kids, or kid's/grandkid's activities to attend. I won sideline press passes to last year's Spring Game (Thanks Card Radio 790), so my wife and I had a great time roaming the sidelines.
