Anybody here attending the spring game?

My gf and I have our tickets purchased and hotel booked. I think it'd be really cool to meet some fellow posters here.

IA, if you go to a game this year I would like to know and even if I can't tickets I'll come up and we can tailgate. You are the number 1 poster here that I would be honored to meet and chat about OU football with.

I am both humbled and honored bc ! Thanks for that and if a game is in my future in Norman this year I will make it known as soon as possible

Unfortunately because of a diabetic setback and surgeries, my plans to attend were derailed. Should be healed up soon by early May. Have fun for those going !!

Get better soon buddy. I have had a rotten start to this year too. We both have to get stronger and be ready for Ladies softball and kickoff to follow !

Thank you and best wishes on your recovery. Looks like we are targeting the OSU game to go to this year. Beat them like a drum.

We are flying in from Cali. What time should we arrive to not miss Baker or anything? We’ll be traveling from Tulsa as we have family there. Thanks for any advice

The game starts at 3 pm. I believe the Baker presentation is at half time. Festivities around campus corner starts at noon. I think the stadium opens at 2 pm.

Billy Ray and BCSooner, how about O'Connell's at Campus Corner at 1 pm on 23rd? This applies to anyone else planning to attend the Spring Game. If this doesn't work I am open to anywhere at any time before or after the game.

If you guys promise to be nice, I might show up. It depends on if I get my car back from my son. He wrecked his last week, and I'm using my old business truck for personal so he has something to get to work and shop for a replacement for his totaled vehicle.

Sounds good. We are meeting some of the gf's extended family so I can't guarantee but probably be there.

Met Plainosooner at an OU/Tulsa game years ago. You definitely want to meet up with him at your Spring game get together. He is as cool in person and he is on the board.

One of the highlights of my 22 years on this board was meeting Frou, and a dozen others for a Friday night road game in Tulsa. I only remember a couple of the other names. 63Sooner and her husband were two. I think were on the top row on the east side in Chapman, unless it was still called Skelly Stadium back then. Frou is a special poster, and a terrific human being.

Things were very different in those days.

Would love to meet you and hear a story or two in person. Sounds like O'Connells at 1. I plan on going to at least 2 home games this year as well.

THE STADIUM OPENS AT 1 PM RATHER THAN 2. I WILL BE AT O'CONNELL'S BY NOON. IF HOPE MANY OF US CAN CATCH UP. I LOOK FORWARD TO IT.

You can be washed on your sin by showing up on Saturday. It is on Asp at Campus Corner. It is on the east side and 2nd establishment north of Boyd St. I think the first is a Starbucks.

I will be attending the spring in my normal role as a working stiff. Well, I don't actually do much but rub elbows with folks like Scottsdale, OUSOONER67, G Man, 22, etc, but that's not the point.

Thune has been involved with OU football reporting in various capacities since his freshman year at OU. I think he has bright future. He is well spoken, knowledgeable and has a refined camera presence. I can see this guy ending up in a prime seat in national sports TV.

I'll be hitting the office by 0800 for prep. I'm not sure I'll have time to stop by O'Connells. I'll let you know. We're definitely meeting up again at the stadium.

Gates open at 1.

National anthem at 3:01. Venables will address the crowd at 3:03 followed by the intro video (you will not want to miss this), coin toss, and then kickoff at 3:10 pm.
