Seems like college football spring games could be going away. So far this spring, Ohio State, Nebraska, Texas, Missouri, NC State, Florida State, and Southern Cal have canceled their spring games. And there are a lot more teams speculating that this year's spring game could be their last one. Instead of a spring game teams want to put on a fan day to raise NIL money.

Hard to blame them. I read where one coach said the spring game was just highlight film for his players to try and get NIL deals elsewhere.

Throw in injuries, and you have to wonder what the benefit to the team actually is. I know it's a great thing for fans, but for the team?

Just one step closer to NFL-light.

Wow, innovative. They're turning it into another way to squeeze money from fans. Glad they're thinking outside the box.

I read that Georgia is seriously considering not having a Spring game due to the portal implications. They have not firmly scheduled one for this Spring yet.

I guess college football hasn't been ruined enough yet, they are having to find more ways to drive fans away.

College football decision-making 2025: "What do the fans like? Ok, let's do the opposite of that."
