So......Defensive coordinator Mike Stoops will start tinkering with his defense when practice opens on Tuesday by implementing a 4-3 scheme. Hum. Let's hope he gets it perfected in time for the Ohio State game.

Yep. Rather than being spread out over 34 days, it's been condensed into 19. More intense schedule rather than the relaxed spread out one they've been known for.
It's going to be interesting to see how they do a 4-3 considering we seem to be short on D-linemen and are heavy on LBs.
I assume some LBs will have to move up to DE.

Ward (very good player)
Jackson ( RS freshman, listed as a DE/LB)
McGinnis (moved from LB)
Campbell (RS sophomore yet to contribute)
Mann (RS sophomore yet to contribute)

So that's really only one proven DE (Ward) on the team. I have to believe Stoops will find at least three others among the other 8.
I just read that. As little depth as there is at DE, I don't believe Campbell is a crippling loss.

The defense under Mike Stoops has had way to many personnel, team and NCAA records recorded against him. Until he leaves Norman, OU has no shot at a NC. None

They don't want him in Arizona. All i can say at this point is.....I will be very angry if I see sloppy defense, players CONFUSED, which was a common statement from all most all commentators. So I will refrain myself at this time.
