Back in the day I would get sky box tickets for the spring game from this charity auction thing. I think it was 8 passes. Me and my friends would be so geeked up about the day.Always the high point of the year.
Just make it a real game. There is no reason to complicate things. If they are truly playing some sort of competitive football for the Spring Game I'm interested to see Colandrea, Mehki Nelson and if we developed any tight ends on offense and the new defensive line on defense.
DP likes boys, nothing wrong with that, I guess, now he plain creeps everyone out.Back in the day I would get sky box tickets for the spring game from this charity auction thing. I think it was 8 passes. Me and my friends would be so geeked up about the day.
We would have a quick beer at my place, then of course road beers. We would park and hit up the first bar by 9:30am, hit two more before the game...hit up the box and drink in there, then off to Champions club and then more bars (Yes, @4.6.3 we would also creep out girls half our age and cuck ourselves or cuck others, I am not sure which one is the one that makes me less of a man).
Anyway, it was such a great time.
Now, 3 of us MIGHT be going to Lincoln that day, we are still excited and we will still drink and cuck the **** out of each other, we will still creep out every female we see...but it is just not the same.
Colandrea, Mehki have plenty of game film. I don't see where develop is supposed to happen when we are bringing in a ton of new players every year that have to learn a new offense. And we are having to break in new oline and dline coaches and a new dcoordinator. That might be interesting but it will be a WIP. I guess our hope is our previous coaches like literally didn't even show up or were so terrible that the new guys will seem like hall of famers. If they are truly playing some sort of competitive football for the Spring Game I'm interested to see Colandrea, Mehki Nelson and if we developed any tight ends on offense and the new defensive line on defense.

I think the problem most people have with Barthel is his RB recruiting. We’ll definitely find out about his recruiting this season.Caught Sam M on with Benning and Ravi. The take on Barthel and the RB room is a big 180 from several folks on the board. Sam said the question in his mind is whether Ives can be an effective short yardage guy. Damon said Barthel could have coached his room when he was there for sure. The view on Barthel within the program vs. some of the fans is starkly different.
OT, but I ran into Rhule yesterday in Omaha. I was surprised to see that no one was bothering him. Obviously everyone knew it was him.
I guess I should also mention no one bothered him in the 20 seconds he was in my FOV.

Who was the Nebraska coordinator after the Iowa game said something to the effect of “their practices must be a blood bath” … I remember thinking at the time, yikes we are soft. Those practices back in the 80's and 90's were wicked, really made a lot of average players into good, and good into great.

Matt is definitely going from famous to infamous.OT, but I ran into Rhule yesterday in Omaha. I was surprised to see that no one was bothering him. Obviously everyone knew it was him. But no one approached him. So I sure as hell didnt either, just walked right by.
First time I've run into the HC in the wild so I dont know if this is standard fare, if people were just respecting the man out on a walk with his wife and daughter - or indicative of sentiment towards him.
I cant say that im drinking the kool aid right now. But I also dont hate the man by any measure. We've gone bowling dammit. That's at least something. So I hope spring game turnout is still strong, whatever it ends up being.
/Done contributing nothing of value to this thread on the spring game.
I guess I should also mention no one bothered him in the 20 seconds he was in my FOV. For all I know when he got around the corner he was swallowed by a mob...
