Kirk making the choice? You think he has a history of going for the gunslinger or going for the steady guy? Kirk's favorite color is tan, so that tells you where he'd lean. Now if it's Lester, he's probably going to roll the dice with the gunslinger.
Harbaugh loves his khaki (tan) pants.

"favorite color is tan". lolol.. You guys understand Kirk went this route (being conservative) because he realized early on he could NOT compete for top level athletes at Iowa vs the power players schools on a yearly basis roster wide. SO, he decided we could win more then our share, by doing the "dirty work". Being the tougher roster. Limit mistakes, don't turn the ball over. Grinding down their chances with the ball. VERY similar to what were seeing and hearing right now from Ben and Jan, "blue collar blue bloods". mantra. Kind of like watching the guys play basketball. Its not pretty but it pretty darned effective most of the time. In a couple of years Ben will probably be boring as well to most the fan base if he doesn't win multiple conference titles.
Ben wears a suit baby.

"Kirk's favorite color is tan" may be the most accurate statement ever by anyone in the world. You can't possibly disagree.......

I've noticed you're really "on one" in these forums i.e. disagreeing with everyone all the time...
Not so, at all. Just makes zero sense to play the "tan card" on Kirk without realizing it was by design, and was his best chance to be successful against schools that he can't possibly recruit against one on one. That's not changing now either with the $$$$ being handed out.

Oh, and I've noticed that 99% of your posts are negative, be it basketball or football, so are you "on one"?

There was never a day I wasn't high on Jones.

Pieper will only be a junior. He may not realize his potential at center in year one. But I believe he has the higher upside
If Pieper has the kind of year your envisioning he probably won't even be at Iowa for his redshirt senior season. Off to the league a year early like Lindy....

Did I miss the rite of spring post?
fill in the blank walk on WR is turning heads, catching everything in sight and is getting #1 snaps

or is it too early?
Too early, that usually happens after the first spring practice.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Tom K have an article or post about coaches commenting about Pieper's reps at C last fall in practice and it wasn't going as well as they had hoped?

This may be true.

But, if some of those early snaps from Jones, in actual games, are any indication. They won’t likely shy away from this experiment if they think he can get there by this fall.
