Way too many covers? In a 35 song set like he did Sunday night there was 1 cover. His Chicago show he covered Take it Easy because Glen Frey had just died and Shout which he has been doing all this tour. Good Lord...the dude plays for three and a half hours and might cover 1 or 2 songs which are often requested by the audience. Hard to please everyone.

Setlist: Meet Me in the City
The Ties That Bind
Sherry Darling
Jackson Cage

Breaking news, not every tour has the same set list, 2014 tour was loaded with covers. Since I did not attend the above concert I really couldn't care less about that set. I'm speaking on the two shows that I saw, the last of which had 9 covers.

Missed him earlier this month in Albany, NY. The knee isn't fully recovered from surgery and I didn't feel like I could handle being crowded in. I'm not a huge fan, enjoy his music, puts on a helluva show.

And he did, played a bunch of other people's songs.

Exactly which shows did you see - I would love to look at those setlists; seems much heavier in covers than i have seen.

He typically throws a cover or two into one of the encores and they are normally old blues/R&B/early rock types of songs as he works the audience - stuff that influenced him and his music.

Interesting.

Both shows in Charlotte, last one was 2014. He puts on a great show and plays a ton of songs, just wish he'd play all his big songs before covers. His final encore was a cover and by far the worst final song I've ever heard at any concert, and I've been to a lot of shows.

OT: Has anyone seen The Who on their current tour? Got tickets for their show next week at MSG. One of my favorite bands but first time I've seen them in concert. Joan Jett is opening up for them, looking forward to seeing her as well.

I have tix for the Louisville show, JJ will not be appearing at that show it will be the girl who is best known for playing bass with Jeff Beck, her name escapes me.

The tour has received rave reviews at almost every stop, roger's voice very strong and Pete on top of his craft.

I am very excited for the set - the setlist is almost exactly what I would pick if I was choosing.
