Steve Spurrier epically burns Texas

Nick Shepkowski 23 hrs ago

Steve Spurrier hasn’t coached college football since 2015 but when one of the biggest names in the history of the SEC speaks, people listen.

Spurrier, a former Heisman Trophy winner at Florida before coaching the Gators to a national championship later on, was recently asked about Texas making the move to the SEC, something he understands for them:

“I can understand Texas jumping over,” Spurrier said. “They get to play Texas A&M again. They get to … they can’t win the Big 12 anyway. – Steve Spurrier to Orlando Sentinel
Need some ice for that burn, Longhorns nation?

Spurrier went on to essentially say that the move is all about the money and isn’t sure it’s very helpful for Oklahoma in terms of football.

It doesn't matter what he says. They are now in the SEC. Money and stability...and automatically in the hunt. Meanwhile how are we doing?

We are still waiting on the sidelines. Hoping to get picked by someone preferably ACC or Big 10.
