West Virginia is still waiting on eligibility waivers for several players on the roster.

Defensive lineman Jimmori Robinson, running back Tye Edwards, safety Justin Harrington and wide receiver Jeff Weimer were not included in the official media guide earlier in the month and at the time it was confirmed that each were dealing with awaiting word on an eligibility waiver.

West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez did not address which players were still awaiting decisions, but did discuss the process at large.

And while the process plays out the affected players must work out on their own and do everything on their own until a decision on the process is made.

“That’s very frustrating,” Rodriguez said.

The veteran head coach pointed to the fact there have been a lot of waiver situations out there that are similar to what his players are dealing with that have either been granted eligibility or gotten injunctions that would allow them to suit up.

“So that’s where our hope is that, hey, that guy has the exact same situation as that guy over here and in that state, and that judge either gave him an injunction or gave some ruling that allowed them to play and that’s what our hope is with those guys,” Rodriguez said. “But they have to work out on their own and do everything on their own until then.”
