It was thoroughly entertaining, and I liked it a lot. I don't think it's some social commentary masterpiece like the internet does. Parasite did that better, but SG was still great.
I think there's a lot of different places they could take the show from here.
They could do a prequel season on the cop's brother, how he won his game, and how he became the front man. Oh, and that cop isn't dead.
They can of course keep following the main character as he tries to take down the games.
One of the VIPs mentioned the "Korean version" of the games which indicates other countries have them too. They could do endless seasons in other countries.
Oh, and this was maybe the best Chappelle Netflix show (tied with the one with the Cosby jokes). He was absolutely right, and I love that he's not apologizing for it either.
The first two episodes were slow but necessary to build some character background but after that I was sucked in and finished it within a week. As long as you can get past the terrible English dubbing it was very good.
