After a very lack luster performance last week against L.A. the defense had their best effort of the season. Had they had this performance all year they would be 6-1. He kids played very well tonight.
On offense it was a somewhat a error prone night with two fumbles, two interceptions, and muffed punt on a iffy call. That being said they could easily had running clock. With the no huddle hurry up offense they just wore out Bmac. Very seldom was there less than 18 seconds on the 25 second clock when the ball was snapped. They play the whole game like they are behind by a score with one minute left in the game.
How was B-Mac's offense? Was it truly inferior and so SR had an easier time of it, or did Rita's defense truly step up? Any changes and adjustments made that will make Rita more competitive on the defensive side of the ball?
BMac has a solid running game. The defense stepped up against the run. They showed the effort in the box as they did against MC. But to honest the only thing that kept it this close were the turnovers.
Both team's passing game were erratic.....
The Junior QB at Cascia is still going through some growing pains, but I think, overall, he's done a damn good job at this point. Hopefully, they can get that running going again (as evident tonight) against Rice and Marmion. This defensive effort could be a mirage in a sense because heavily-favored Rice may put 60 points on them.
If Rita gets in the playoffs, the defense builds upon this effort against Mac and maintains the explosiveness of the offense, I truly think the Mustangs will be a tough out. Obviously, they'd be underdogs against Caravan, Flyer and the Hitter.
