Bronco wins by a few TDs.

Huh??? St. Francis won easily last year 31-7 and a couple of their fans keep reminding me about it.

Either way I don't care. If Montini wins great, if they don't, great because I like entering the playoffs with at least one loss. Although Fenwick or Marmion could beat the Broncos also.

No way Fenwick or Marmion beat Montini. If they do, you have some real issues entering the playoffs. Both of those teams are down this year.

St. Francis just lost to St. Laurence by 14. Can't see Montini losing to them.

Stop Crossboning, Fenwick and Marmion are not going to beat MCHS, St Francis team this year is thinner than last year and Broncos have a score to settle.

Francis loses by atleast 4 tds min.and as far as fenwick and Marmion beating Montini I don't know what games u have been watching but both will have a running clock on them and don't be surprised if they put a running clock on Francis

I am a Montini fan, but I got to ask, who is doing the programming at CN100? This may be the "Game of the Week" but its not the game of the week.

Wassup,

I dont remember any SF fan beating the final score last year on this site.

Anyway, MCHS will win by 3 tds. SF is not as good as they were last year. They have a few kids injured and their big loss is a receiver they lost a few weeks ago.and Montini has the huge revenge factor here.

As far as St laurence, they are a really really good football team.

How is sf vs Montini GOW but not Nazareth vs jca? Montini wins by 21. Jca wins by 14

Probably the worst programming ever. Nobody will want to watch that outside of Lombard. This game gets out of hand early.

Sorry to thread jack, but who wins the St. Francis @ Fenwick game in week 9 when Fenwick needs a fifth win and St Francis needs sixth win because of low playoff points?

Definitely NOT game of the wk it would of been a little more interesting if Francis was still undefeated but in no way is game of the wk.

Indeed-- that wil be a grinder for both teams --both are very young and injuries have taken a toll on thin roster for Fenwick this year....

I don't think many inside Lombard want to watch this one. HF-LWE or JCA-Naz would have been much better choices.

Interesting stats about the Montini Defense....

1) Defense gave up a net 10 points through its first 6 games (or a net of 1.6 points per game).

Defense has given up 38 points against so far but they also scored 28 points giving up a net 10 points per game in their first 6 games.

2) In its last three games Montini's defense has allowed a total of 69 yards of offense. The Broncos gave up 65 against De La Salle, 22 against Leo and minus-18 yards against St. Joseph, all shutouts.

Now of course these numbers will be going up with the high powered St. Francis offense playing at Montini this weekend averaging 45 points a game but I thought these numbers were interesting.

I think everyone on this thread can keep those teams under 100 yards.

The net 10 points stat is impressive. The other stats are meh based on the competition. Defense is strong though, small but fast and big hits. This game will tell a story, no question, but what looked like a gauntlet of a schedule in July now looks pretty unimpressive. I think MS loses to NT which will make the schedule look even weaker. Odd year in IL football.

Gets me thinking on how many net points Naz Defense has given up. I know 28 for MCC, and they shutout every other team with the starters. 1 or 2 Defensive scores. However that will all change this week.

But I like it as an indicator. Net points for a defense gives you a true perspective on how good a defense is and how opportunistic a squad can be. Bodes well in November.

I like the net points stat because it let's you know when your defense takes the field and they don't have possession of the football, they still feel they own the football and go out and take it away from the opponent.
