I really like this as a non-con game for both schools. City, Catholic, boys only, different conferences with great traditions. Would love to see this develop into a nice annual rivalry.
What's not to like here?
no, find the easiest way to 5 wins! Maybe this should be the 2nd gameIt's now 35 - 14 in favor of the Mustangs. I totally agree with this. They should definitely play each other every year.
17 for 89yds, 3TDs :http://www.chicagotribune.com/subur...t-rita-st-patrick-st-0827-20170825-story.htmlTribune is reporting Childers had 380 yards. Is that a typo? With the qb running for 124 and throwing for 117 the offense had over 600 yards. Anyone who was actually at the game want to give a recap?
Very poorly worded but I assume they're saying last year he ran for 380...?Same article 3 paragraphs down says 380 yards? That why I asked if it was a typo.

TL, you think Rita's line of scrimmage play will hold its own in the Blue? From what I heard preseason was that the defense would vastly improve, the offensive skill set will be very good, but the line play may not be a typical Rita one. Is this accurate? Maybe less depth on both lines?
Last year he was the backup. They scored 49 points. Then someone else had to get some yards too. 89 or 380? Yes poorly written.Very poorly worded but I assume they're saying last year he ran for 380...?

I was not at the game (working). But Childers is going both ways. Last summer they spent a lot of time installing the new offense. This year they did spend more time on defense. And having Childers play linebacker will help. I know from attending an couple of alumni luncheons Kuska was concerned with the tackling last year. Last year they scored 44 and lost. This year the won by 4 td's. So the defense passed today's test. New coach at Pat's from California. I don't think they had the normal film you'd get with a known coach.TL, you think Rita's line of scrimmage play will hold its own in the Blue?
