I am at SR. This place isn't suitable for a semi final game. Seating is pitiful. VHSL needs to stop allowing inferior facilities to host..

HR6 needs to stop whining and complaining when things don't go his way. Your comments aren't suitable for most folks.
SR earned the right the host, doesn't matter if there were no bleachers for anyone, let the kids have their day. Kick rocks back down 43 already!
I found a barrel beside fieldhouse. Found piece of plywood, built a scaffold. I thought a stadium had to have so many seats to host. SR not meet requirements in my opinion.
Neutral fan here and I agree the seating sucked today and a joke a state semi was held there today
I love it! That’s what high school football is suppose to look like! Not put it in a huge stadium and looks like no one there. I’m old school, I wish they would take state championships back to high schools. Find a neutral high school for each class and pack it out!!
I have been to many venues around state. Liberty University is still best venue for VHSL playoffs.

I have been to SR before, but I did not realize they have so little seating. I got there about 90 minutes before kickoff.
Wouldn't have been bad if they had a hill to stand where you could see but it was flat as a pancake...pitiful

I'm sure the VHSL has them down for at least 2500 seats.
There were probably ~5000 people there today and they brought in extra bleachers. Clearly not enough for that game but you really can't expect a high school to build seating for a crowd that they will only fill once every few years.

No I don't expect them to build it but it should be moved from that place...and the bleachers they supposedly brought it were small ones that may hold 30 people each and I saw 3-4 of them....absolutely ridiculous for the VHSL to allow a semi-final game to be played there....JMHO
It doesn’t matter SR want be back for another 30 years lol Maybe by then JF will give up some of there money so SR & Liberty can fix there facilities .
You do know that all the county schools get the same, just like they all got new tracks. Anything that JF has built or renovated comes from boosters or fundraising. Christmas has a golden tongue when it comes to bringing in the money.
First of all, SR has more bleacher seating than JF. JF is actively raising money for a stadium renovation that includes new bleachers.
As Catch noted, the county does very little when it comes to sports programs. JF privately raised all funds for everything they have, including the weight room and new field turf. As a matter of fact, the football locker rooms and field house that was renovated over the last 2 years was originally purchased by private donations during Christmas's first stint at JF. Not long after that SR's field house was built but the county actually paid for that.
Look at Liberty & SR school and go look at JF’s Liberty had to fight to just get a new gym . With the Hill SR doesnt hold more then JF .
JF has many more students so naturally facilities would be larger. The Middle school still has students in trailers. The notion that JF gets anything more than other county schools is just false.
U Say so lol just know Liberty & SR place is a dump of a stadium they need to spend some money into there football stadiums.
Got to up the boosters. I'm sure there is money for the folks living on Smith Mountain Lake =)
