I know a lot of people did not like Dean but this new announcer was useless. He would only mention the PSU player who made a tackle. He never called who the players were for WVU and rarely indicated yardage, down, or distance.

He was way better than the last guy. Also, the music experience was much improved except for with 5 minutes to go sweet Caroline had to be included. Dreadful. The rest was great though it would have been nice to have a Buffet song in the mix tonight.
I did not like the previous announcer but the new guy was worse - much worse. Actually the worst announcer I have ever heard at any stadium.
God rest his soul, but Buffet was a no talent artist.

The previous guy talked way too much. This guy talked way too little. It seems he’s taking the minimalist approach and giving the live viewers credit for knowing what’s going on in the game. I appreciate that but geez dude, you need to give us a bit more.

The biggest improvement occurs between the first and second games. Let’s see how the guy performs next week vs. UD. Then we’ll know what we have.
Totally agree. My point was I thought we were going to get through the game without hearing that being played. the rest of the night was certainly fresher.
yes to all accept Sweet Caroline which was epic. The Beav comes across the television machine as a unique venue, one that has everyone enjoying the event, with no threat of half the stadium walking out, no angry disappointment even when our fg kicker misses two kicks. At the Beav, the game belongs to the participants not the spectator and the changes this year stick to the plan nicely.

I attended a Georgia game a few years ago. They do not play music over the PA system. The only music in Sanford Stadium is provided by the band. Loved it.

Apparently "Living on a Prayer," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Hey Baby." Personally, I would love to see "Hey Baby" replaced by Shaggy's "Boom Shakalaka."
