Stadium Question

Went to our first Cardinal game Saturday for parent's weekend. Have one daughter at U.K. and one at U of L. Have always been more of a U.K. fan but was extremely impressed with everything about the football program. They are "Big Time". Handled an undermanned opponent the way a big time program should, great tailgating and atmosphere around the stadium, friendly fans, etc. We will definitely be back.

Stadium questions. We sat in the flight deck. Those seats have a great view but are up there. What is the best way to get up there? We used the ramp but it took awhile. Couldn't do the steps (bad knees) and the line at the elevator was extremely long. Does the elevator go all the way up? We actually got on at 3 rode to 4 and had to get out and go up stairs the rest of the way. We got those tickets for parents for $15. Is that the normal cost? Also the expansion looks nice. Is it more for luxury boxes only looks like seating at the top? Can you get seats for good prices other than the flight deck?

I can answer some of those questions. My season tickets are in the Flight Deck as well. My wife and I haven't taken the stairs or ramp up in several years. We always take the elevator from ground level all the way up. The line moves pretty quick. I'm not familiar with "parent" tickets, but my season tickets have a face value of $35. The expansion will be boxes at the ground level with regular seating up higher. Not sure what "good prices" are in your mind, but in most cases (non-major opponent) you can usually find reasonably priced tickets (below face value) online or from scalpers outside the stadium.

Scalpers conned some friends of mine into buying fakes for the Clemson game $225 loss. The $15 tickets the OP is referring to are for students who want extra seats. Students can buy up to 4 tickets per game for $15 regardless of the game except maybe your Clemson or FSU if it is late. I bought tickets for friends for Murray, BC, Syracuse, and UVA all for $15 a piece. Can sometimes get lower deck for that price. Sadly, the $15 price connection will only be there as long as you know a student or a student goes into the business of buying a bunch of tickets and selling them for slightly above that value. I wish I had thought of that earlier. Not sure on the logistics of getting up to the flight deck but I've always walked when I had seats up there in the past.

My seats have been in the Flight Deck ever since it has opened. I always use the elevators and the lines move pretty fast. My younger grandsons do, from time to time, use the “ramp” but I always use the elevators. The two elevators on the right are for the flight deck and the two on the left are for the 3rd and 4th floor “suites”.

Ok makes sense now. I was not aware that some elevators went to top and some didn't. I liked the seats great view of the game. The expansion seats above the boxes look like they will be good seats.
Thanks for the help.
