So according to the 247 Article (Didn't read it, just saw this posted) - Frost will be bringing:

DC: Chinander

OL: Austin

QA: Ruud

RB: Held

QB: Verduzco

S&C: Duvall

Gary Sharp just read the article on air. Do you have a link? Sounds like Walters could get UCF or other HC job.

I heard there’s a possible couple of assistants at other schools currently. Also hearing a few current assistants stay.

Some are saying a Bill Napier (From ASU but was at Bama) might be coming? Guess he was a stud recruiter and it might be why Moos was in Arizona the other day?

Everyone knows Nick Bahe hates Husker football.

I don't care what he hates or likes. I just cannot stand his show. His 'takes' are so bad. Here is his typical take:

-Build a strawman that literally nobody thinks - 'People are saying that LeBron James is the third to fifth best player in the NBA right now.'
-Tear is apart.
-Act really smart about it.

Also, his interviewing style is terrible.

-'Bo, as a former Husker, you know a lot about the program. I think that Mike Riley wasn't a right fit. What do you think?'

Well no **** Bahe. Also, you gave him the answer. Now he has to agree with your take that you gave in the question.

It sounds as if you have been listening; perhaps I am mistaken.

This season featured the worst defensive performance since I my childhood in the early 70s and I assume it was way worse than anything in the 60s by a country mile. And the plan would be to retain at least three of the defensive coaches from the 2017 staff? Was this all Diaco's fault?

The hair is fine, but he needs to lose the Harry Potter glasses.

I respectfully disagree on the hair, but I agree on the glasses..

I am excited about Austin. The huskeronline podcast interviewed the UCF rivals guy and he said the biggest turnaround that happened under Frost was the oline and that Austin was the driving force.
I’ve heard good things about him too

Bray could be ILB coach and Ruud could be OLB coach. I believe that Chinander runs a multiple front with 3-4.
I would rather see Chinander coach OLB's amd Rudd stay on Quality Control. I'm not a huge fan of a guy getting his first coaching job at Nebraska.

Does anyone know some back story on Frosts current assistants? Especially the ones likely to come with him? Where are they from? Where have they coached before and in what capacity?

I think that they can go a lot of ways with the coaching staff. You can have 2 DB coaches(safeties and CB) or 2 LB coaches(inside & outside if we do the 3/4) or 2 OL coaches(inside and outside+TE) or 2 WR coaches(inside WR & outside WR has been used in spread offenses). Also, even though Frost will likely call the plays, I could see someone be a pass game coordinator and someone be the run game coordinator to help set up the game plan during the practice week. There are a lot of possibilities, especially with adding a 10th coach next month.

My guess is Bray, Parrella and Williams are retained. Gut feeling that it will only be 2, though. I don't see DW being retained.

All this speculation is too funny. The next coach is going to bring in who he wants. I would be surprised if a coach is kept just to keep some recruit but what do I know. I just know if I were a coach and I am going be held accountable for winning games I would demand my own staff. Moos seems to like Bray. If there isn't a position for him on the field and he still wants to stay I am sure Moos can find Bray a job in the Athletic department.

Of course he will bring who he wants, I don't see anyone stating otherwise.

These guys all seem tied together from time at Nebraska, toOregon, to the pros, to UCF. Get a few more ties, and this could be a very good, long term combination.
