Why is it my team is up 2-0 with 3 home games and I am still not comfortable.
Oh yeah, the Capitals long history of choking.

glen, it's 2-1. Still think you got the advantage, but it didn't go to 3-0. There's life left in this puppy!

You must somehow have missed the past 15 year Capitals playoff performances if you think they still have the advantage but still better than being down.

Haha. Series not over yet, my man. But it did just get interesting. Who woulda thought that home ice teams would lose both games. Wow
Do you have a liquor store down there that will take my card over the phone? I'm about 96% sure I've lost this bet and I know better than to welch on a bet around here.

This argument is pretty tired. Most teams are comprised of over 50% Canadian players. Let the US teams play with just American players and they’d never sniff a cup again.
No Canada! The Stanley Cup will stay in the USA for the 25th consecutive year.

What difference does it make where the players are from? That'd be like expecting Kentucky or Duke or Kansas to win with kids from their state. Canadians I know root for individual Canadian players but they want a TEAM from Canada to bring the trophy north. By simple math it should happen roughly once every four or five years -- seven of the 31 teams are Canadian. it's already been five or six times that long.

Let's go Vegas? I guess. Was rooting for Nashville just so I could go for a a game.

glen, i owe you a good beer. Not sure how to get it to you. But unlike fuzz who welched on his bet, i fully will buy you one.

Wanna double down on the Knights? Haha. I was rooting for Vegas all season behind Tampa

Never followed hockey at all except in deployments when everyone else wanted to watch but it would be neat to see in my lifetime a team win a championship in their inaugural season. Not going to bandwagon on them but will watch for the first time given the historical purposes.

If you are in Louisville any time soon you need to tell me and I'll meet you and take my winnings. I won't call you a welcher unless I know you've been here and didn't pay up.
Seriously though, I needed this. It's been a long month.

The Vegas intro/pregame was one of the more ridiculous things I've ever seen in all of sports, and I watch nearly any/every sporting event.

  • Swordfight on the ice along with some digital show accompanying it
  • DJ
  • Drummers in some sort of knight costume
  • Some magician cranking some alarm
  • Fireworks and more lasers
  • Lil Jon
  • Cheerleaders and dancers hanging out in a castle
  • Michael Buffer announcing the lineups
  • Players coming out of a tunnel with smoke and mirrors
  • 25,000 people outside the stadium
  • Launching cannonballs via a catapult - I think at the Capitals?
I wasn't sure what Vegas would bring to sports, but man I can't wait for the Raiders after watching that
