How bout this from a MA poster, Bears are young, coaching staff still has to find the where all the pieces of this young staff seems to fall in game time situations. The injured qb is not the savior and his absence might be best for him, as this new offense needs a qb that can run it and extend the pocket a little. From what I saw last night stroup might just be what this team needs this year, he seemed to fit the mold for this particular bears team. He made some throws, his receivers didn’t make the catches, he made a couple mistakes, but I’ll be dog gone if he didn’t look good in that option offense. I for one LIKE this team. Got to find another 2nd option outside of 12 in the backfield, 6 won’t last the season if he has to be the only option, 12 has to run it HARDER or step aside and let another one of the talented younger RBs step up. Bears have talent outside of 6 and 12 in the backfield. 8 was a mismatch everywhere he lined up last night , didn’t get a single look. 5 and 3 looked good, just dropped a few. Outside a couple turnovers and bears win this one. This team is reminiscent of the 2006 / 2007 team , bears go 7-4 maybe 8-3 and make some noise playoff time. Qb is a baller, I see a qb controversy coming in the future. Hmmmm stroup could just be the next araon wheeler / Austin Taylor in the granite city, deff fits the mold of a more traditional bear qb, one that can run it pretty good and throw in the flats a little. For me no complaints here, i like what I see in a extremely young team. Let’s see where we are in a few weeks. Better get this team early , cause late they will be good and next year you will be saying I told yhea so. The verdict is still out on the coaching staff , so no comment there. But I will reiterate that I remain undefeated from the stands , so whatever I think or have an opinion about doesn’t really matter as I ain’t ever been in the coaching position nor will I ever be. So it’s very easy for me to be a critic
