PSU - 24
UCLA - 6
I agree that this one will be closer than we'd like. They're coming off of an emotional OT loss in the game of the year. They're flying cross-country to play an ego-bruised opponent that is inexplicably 0-4 and coming off of a bye and coaching change. And PSU is clearly working through big issues on offense.

I think Penn State wins, but this won't be a blowout and anything could happen.

D will win it for us I think.

They should be better than New Mexico and UNLV (probably Northwestern too); they have better players and a former 5*QB recruit. Obvious that Foster was way in over his head there - had no previous HC or even coordinator experience. They should be an 8-11 win team regularly IMO. Another issue for them is they brought in a ton of transfers last year - something like 22 of their 40 person recruiting class were transfers.

A bunch of Neuheisel gimmick plays makes it closer than the spread.

Penn State 38

UCLA 17

I think it’s a bad week to be ucla

S 51
UCLA 13
Penn state finally opens the playbook on their first possession. Throws the ball around the field to open the run, keeps the pedal down all through the game wins 64-0. Franklin comments after the game "this is the way we're going to play all year, no more slow starts"

and then I woke up

Penn State may struggle to score but UCLA isn't going to be putting up points either.
This has 24-3 written all over it even without Rojas
Maybe things click and we score a ton (doubt it unless we get a new OC) but UCLA isn't scoring.

Funny thing is that after the offensive sh*t show against OSU last year, we looked great the following week against Washington. Drew was throwing the ball all over the field (including the middle), we ran for a ton of yards, and our oline looked great. I guess it’s possible, but that game seems like it was 5 years ago.

UCLA is a bad football team. This should be a stress free win but I don't think it will be a blowout. Losing Rojas is really going to hurt us later in the season but for the next few weeks we'll be fine. 37-17.

Anybody watching Iowa State? Despite losing 24-7, the Cyclones’ offense has done more on O in their current drive than our guys in a half of any game. Yes they are playing Cincinnati but they can move the ball. Just missed a fg but the game isn’t over yet. Wide splits, good mix of run and pass, outside zone to wide side, decisive QB, check downs. How in the heck can a team down 17 look better than us on O?

Navy with their Wing-T offense has over 200 yards passing in the first half. That’s more than a full game for Drew.

I heard about their “vaunted” offense and was foolish enough to pick them in the pick ‘em. 🤔 now 31-7

The three time zone travel thing is real. We start slow. Lead 10-3 at half, win 27-10 ish.
