Little side note, SF has and will power run if needed. Not what they want to do but they have a big solid OL with a 210lb RB, they can run if the weather is complete garbage.
I agree, not what they want to do but can run the ball. Watched them a few times, and the line is very solid. Great staff as well

1 Corinthians 15:57:
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

All roads to the state title, at least in 3A on up, go through the Chicago Catholic League.

My picks
8A: MC (blowout)
7A: BR (south side dog fight, Rita will give them all they can handle)
6A: Fenwick (you heard it here first. Friars become giant slayers)
5A: Franny (shootout, last possession wins)
4A: Montini (blowout)
3A: Byron (blowout)
2A: Wilmington (blowout)
1A: Lena Winslow (blowout)
Honestly I don’t see Fenwick having much success on offense, Although it can happen I don’t see it. Even if snow ESL run game will take over

Quote of the day so far....St. Francis coach Bob McMillen on his football team: "They are really big into this eye black thing. I don’t know why. They want to paint their faces and everything else."

:ROFLMAO:

As great as ESL's offense is...the defense continually year after year gets overlooked....

19 points allowed to in state teams in Reg Season (which includes a pick 6 vs Belleville East)
28 points allowed in 4 games in playoffs

Good luck to Fenwick...

The two Theis (??) brothers look like they could be playmakers for Fenwick. However, if they are playing both sides of the ball and getting hit every single play by ESL DL, then have to turn around and tackle MJC...that can take a toll on you.

Maybe one of you armchair historians will know this off the top of your head. How exclusive is the four-peat club? Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Rochester and Lena Winslow knocked down more than five in a row? Bishop Mac must be up there too, and maybe Driscoll as well? Help me fill out the gaps in my knowledge.

JCA (1975 - 1978)
PC (1994 - 1997)
Driscoll (2001 - 2007)
Montini (2009 - 2012)
Rochester won 5 in a row (2010 - 2014)
Lena won 19-22 but there was no playoffs in 20 so only 3x champ.

Thats all I can tell from my quick search. I may have a missed someone.

Thanks!

Did Racki rack up all those titles at Driscoll?

These rushing stats are ridiculous.
You might see this kind of average from time to time from a big name kid, but not from all 4 of the top rushers…

Some of you prognosticators are taking Oswego all too lightly. As Coach Lynch said, "We ain't won nothing yet." The Panthers turned some heads by knocking off Maine South in the quarters. At 11-2, they must know something about the game of football.
It won’t be close.

You all laughed at me! I told you the Friars were tough! 5A prediction was pretty accurate also.

Swing and a miss here

And if anything...it was the Flyers D that led to their demise last nigh, especially in the 2nd half.

Hats off to Fenwick
