I think Eastern Randolph has the best chance.

Well I can promise you here in tarboro we are taking it one week at a time ,one opponent at a time, and one game at a time. Our goal is to get to the state championship game but we don't overlook anybody.

How many titles does tarboro have? I know how many robbinsville has bc they post it weekly.
7. Technically eight because we won in 1965 as the tarboro tigers but that was when the two schools were segregated.
Yeah ER has some good looking kids. Kinda like you are capable of getting if your a 2a school
The Tarboro Vikings have 7. 84, 09, 10, 11, 17, 18, and 20. Runner up in 98, 08, 12, 19.
As another posted stated, we have 65 before segregation, and patilio high school May also have some, but under Tarboro Vikings, 7.
I expect us to be in the hunt, but it’ll take our best efforts, and our best efforts only to pull off number 8 this year.

What flipped the switch to start the Tarboro run in 08?

We’ve always had the athletes. We had some great teams in the 80s and early 90s but playing 3a and only one playoff per division, made it much more difficult to make a championship. Also, coach Craddock started in 04. He did things much different than the coach before him, so it took a few years of kids completely buying in to his system to translate onto the field. He won the conference his first year, but went through some hard years, and started to get some heat from Tarboro faithful. All the while he was sowing the seeds, and laying a new foundation. 08 was the year he began to reap a harvest.
Todd Gurley didn’t really come on the scene till the 2010 season. He didn’t play at all in 08, was moved up from jv in 09. So that’s two title Appearances without him. Now of course he helped tremendously in 10 and 11. 12 we went undefeated until the title game without him. Todd is great for our community and goes above and beyond to help out, but Tarboro football is much more than him.
I think patillo won it in 52 and 53 don't quote me on it though. As for our chances to win states, I like them better than earlier this year. I still stand by what I said earlier this season, that if we win state it'll be by one possession.
Reidsville counts all. Reidsville High School has won 22. Some as Golden Lions. Some as Rams. For more info on Reidsville history, just ask a Shelby fan.
Some schools will never play in a state championship much less win 22 this is a rediculous statement. 80s back you earned state titles from first round on . Had to win conference just to make playoffs.

Does Robbinsville count the titles separately that they won after bringing in all the athletes from Stecoah and Mountain View high schools?
Wow so Robbinsville got to combine with 2 other schools and still got to remain 1A??? I’m counting them as a 2A team from now on!
Absolutely no one in any class except Mt. Airy. Haven’t you heard? 9 shutouts and only 18 points all season.
Thomasville and Mt Airy stealing all the hype… that’s alright. Mitchell and Robbinsville are perfectly fine with that.
If you count Pattillo before school we’re intergraded then wouldn’t that make it 8
I think if we counted before integration, we’d have 3 more, so 10 total.
Todd was on JV my sophomore year & didn’t get moved up. We lost to Newton-Conover that year. Next year my junior year he played JV also at a sophomore. He was moved up in the playoffs & barely smelt the field. We beat Mount Heritage that year. Now his junior year is where he started on varsity & the rest is history & that was 2010
The main question I want to know is who’s going to stop Eastern Randolph in the west? That’s my pick to make it out.
