Could be some wet weather end of week (wet not white)
I would assume Richlands travels Friday and stays overnight somewhere. As for the fans, I would guess there is elevated seating for 500 or so on the visitors' side but I think they may allow chairs on the track. The field won't be muddy. The press box is not the best, but is heated!
Staunton to Wytheville is about 150 miles and the school is about 3 miles east on Rt 250 at staunton/fishersville exit 222 on 81.

If the visitor side only holds 500, we are going to have an issue. Haha. We took 2000+ to Gate City. And when we played Brookville in the 2010 AA Div. 3 semi-finals (4+ hour trip), we brought several thousand.

Crowds like that are rare in the central valley the home side likely only seats 1500. Stadiums just don't have huge grandstands like some of those in SWVA. :)

Wilson will have a big crowd. It may be more like playing in Salem for the championship as far as the crowd goes..... Should be a great game with a great atmosphere.....

Actually, I don't see ANY playoff info on the RHS website itself, & the SWD/rSchool site says WM.

Have they added a second rode from the school? That is the hardest place to get out of in the world.

I hear ya on that one! It's apparently even worse in the mornings for school as you have valley vo tech, the county office for the school, Woodrow Wilson rehab, the elementary, middle and high schools all on that same road.

The last time I left a Wilson game, I turned right instead of left out of the high school, and went around the baseball field/tennis courts and it seemed faster, but I had to dodge about a thousand people walking out of the game.

What you took in 2010 is not relevant, but go ahead and take 20,000 and have a great time. I recommend a pre-game barbecue. But take your grills with you. They not only have no seats, they don't provide grills either.

To all who travel to this game, be sure to obey the speed limit.
The WWRC police force love their radar guns and ticket books.

No one ever said anything about 20,000 people. There's only a little over 40,000 people in our county.

All we are saying is that we travel well. We traveled well in the 3 straight years we went to the state finals from 05-07, we traveled well when we didn't win our region a few years ago, and we travel well right now, as evidenced by our 2,000+ at Gate City last Saturday. And with only 500 permanent seats, it's going to be a fight to get those.

RichlandsRyan, you will have to ignore bluebomber for the most part. Seems like he prefers to post smart*** remarks 90% of the time.
