Essential businesses are still running and you can still go to food stores and places like Lowe's /Home Depot. Total shutdown of all places not considered essential to life begins Thursday at 8 PM by governor's executive order.
even fast food?

I would like to see someone set up a food service at rest stops for truckers. They are right on the front lines and are having a hard time with food. They are key to keeping our supply lines open. Without trucking you would have anarchy. Heck, the government could do it,national guard could set up chow wagons and when a trucker pulls in give him a free hot meal.Don't even have to get out of his truck.
Troops can't fight a war on an empty stomach

Truckers are reason enough to keep fast food open.

Beshear did list several businesses that are NOT closing: Grocery stores, drug stores, pharmacies, banks, gas stations, businesses needed for transportation, financial services, construction, mail, shipping, logistics, delivery, laundry services, restaurants (delivery, takeout, etc.), home-based care, manufacturing, distribution and more.

These state shutdowns don't mean anymore than government shutdowns. Here in jersey almost everything is open

Not here, all "non life essential businesses" are closed, as well as parks, playgrounds, and basketball courts. We even have a number to call if we see people gathered in groups.

There are a lot of businesses that are essential that just will not shut down until they absolutely have to.

I work for an automaker here in Ky. We’re off this week and got a call that we’re also off next week now. 3 UAW members have died with the virus the past couple days so we may be off even longer now. The workers that passed away were not in Kentucky though.

There folks that claim they aren't concerned get concerned real fast when someone they love gets sick.

I’d be devastated of course if someone I knew got it. But it does not change my opinion we are overreacting to a degree. So your incorrect. I’d be devastated if some I knew was in a car wreck but I still drive.

it’s dangerous to be born. I’m not arguing that there aren’t concerns. It’s just we can’t stay shut down much longer. Then you have bigger concerns that also have devastating impacts. There is a middle ground here and I’m sick of folks saying your crazy because you challenge the media group think. Truth is no one really knows much. Cases are increasing because of tests. They’ve always been here. We just confirmed them.

It's likely the decree by the Florida governor about arrivals from NY, NJ,and Conn. Will be challenged in court as an infringement upon constitutionally granted rights

1. Driving a car is essential, large gatherings at a basketball game, or chilling at your favorite bar/ watering hole is NOT.

2. You're not crazy for questioning the media, you're crazy for questioning the CDC, WHO, etc.

Dont be the next person on this board to mock the seriousness of this virus then end up starting a "please pray for my love one hes got Covid19" thread 2 weeks later. CARE NOW.

Genie is out of the bottle down there. He's about 3 weeks late and Florida's gonna look like little Italy more than likely.

Florida is a high risk state because of the number of retirees, if nothing else.

Truth is no one really knows much. Cases are increasing because of tests.

You’re correct, in the first sentence. And the blind spots we still have are cause for caution. But deaths are increasing, not because of testing, but because of death.

For those who compare Covid-19 to car accidents, in the US, we have now doubled the average daily death rate (102-105) of auto accidents with the virus.
