Black guys or white guys speed is speed. Wrh had a hard time running down a couple Mitchell receivers in state championship game. Brody smith was fast. Greg mcmurray who most on here can’t remember Freddie Burleson they were fast. Greg played at ncsu you gotta be fast. Freddie played at Mars hill. My point there’s speed everywhere bigger schools have more kids thus more fast guys. East surrys fastest guys were white. Tarboro is mostly black every year. Both teams were fast. In this mud and snow I’m not sure if fast will matter. What does matter is going from basketball to football. We got several kids in key spots still doing both. Our line is our biggest question mark we’re loaded at skill positions

Asheville gave Statesville 24 pts? They hate that their 3 and 4 a teams rarely beat us poor little ole 1a country bumpkins, couldnt pay North Buncombe to play us anymore they pick Erwin to beat us and Heritage every year, then when we beat em, no coverage on the frenzy, all we hear about anymore is whether or not Avery is going to be any good, i have no problem with Avery but for goodness sakes they should recognize our kids too,I am sick of Asheville

If it makes sense we will do the opposite most times. We’re the only school system that can’t figure out how to use 15 million dollars to build a school.

Down to 33 now here in the southern extreme of the county with .73 inches of rain today at my house. Little Switzerland area is now down to 32.1 with snow mixing in, but the closest weather station to the stadium is at 36 right now. They have issued a winter weather advisory now through 10 pm right across the line in Avery county but hopefully we can stay all rain until everyone can make it back home safe.
