Anyone watching this? It’s pretty awesome. I binged the first 7 episodes on New Year’s Day and the next 2 were released today. Worth your time for sure.
Have you ever read The Stand? The ABC and CBS All Access series don't come close to doing it justice. I'd love to see HBO/Netflix/Amazon do a 20+ episode series of it. Same for the Dark Tower books. Both are just too big to be told in a 2 hour movie or miniseries.I’m looking forward to see how everything ties together.
Started watching this and finished The Stand over the holidays. It’s been a plague fest. To offset things I’m going to watch season 2 of Righteous Gemstones on Sunday.

Yes they have. One short story that I think is too short to be made into a movie, but would be great in maybe a trilogy type of movie or TV show is Survivor Type, where the protagonist is stranded on a deserted spit of land after a shipwreck.Read the book multiple times and loved it. You’re right, the series and movies that have been done to this point doesn’t do it justice. Needs the right director to pull it off.
It’s weird that King’s short stories make much better movies than his novels. Lot ic great movies from his short stories but very damn few from his novels.

Thanks. I have added this to my list and might watch it next.
I have binged City on a Hill on Showtime for the past two days and just finished Season One. Anyone else watch it?
You are correct. Its really good. I have two episodes left in season 2. I wonder if they will have a 3rd.I watched season one last year haven’t gotten around to watch season two yet. Enjoyed the show thought Kevin Bacon did an amazing job. Matt Damon & Affleck produced it if I remember correctly.
That’s understandable, it starts slow. There’s a lot of different storylines in the universe but it gets good once they start to tie them all together.I have watched the first 3 episodes and so far it just doesn't appeal to me.
That was highly unnecessary hahahaI think it's been outstanding all the way through. However, I did look away for the child birth scene.
Yeah. The first two are interesting, but seems like it is trying too hard. I will give it a couple more.I have watched the first 3 episodes and so far it just doesn't appeal to me.
I’m 2 episodes in and not really into it yet. Will keep watching tho and see what happens.
Not a lot to choose from right now show wise. Mayor of Kingstown on Parmaount Plus is excellent tho Taylor Sheridan who created Yellowstone and Antoine Fuqua from training day collaborated.
I loved Mare of Easttown. Have not seen the other. What's better - Mayor of Kingstown or Mare of Easttown?
They are both great I prefer Kingstown personally.I loved Mare of Easttown. Have not seen the other.
I made it nine minutes into episode two. It’s about an apocalyptic traveling musical group? Forgot new 1883 dropped today, I’ll get back around to it.
It’s one of the later episodes maybe 8 or 9? You will know well in advance based on how episode plays out. What episode has the birth scene? Would rather not have the kids possibly walking down the steps to see that on the 65”.
