Status of OPRF RB Kamal Bay

Just to clarify, OPRF senior Kamal Bay will not be playing football this fall and this was confirmed by OPRF head coach John Hoerster last night. Bay is a potential Olympic level wrestler and will focus on his wrestling career instead.

Some of my OPRF friends have been dreading this decision for several months. I heard back in June this was going to happen. Kind of assumed that OPRF ' s low ranking was based on this news.

My understanding is that he has moved out to Colorado Springs to train at the U.S. Olympic training center to wrestle.
If you think he was good on the football field you should see him on the wrestling mat.

Watched him wrestle a few times last year before he missed the state run. He was amazing but in the context of that wrestling team, that is to be expected. We wish him the best of luck in his training and pursuit of Olympic glory. He was fun to watch on the football field.
