There is one section of the article that stuck out to me:
The offense finally began to surge in COD's third game, a narrow loss to Antelope Valley. Johnson threw for four touchdowns and 361 yards, setting off a string of four games where he thew for at least 350 yards and four touchdowns. During those four games, including three wins, Johnson threw for 19 touchdowns versus just two interceptions.
"A lot of our receivers stepped up and had big games," Johnson said. "Tristan had the most yards in the entire conference. ... Marguis Kingery had the most touchdowns in the conference. So we had guys who stepped up in big games for us, and especially our o-linemen."
Johnson's signature game was on Oct. 3 against previously unbeaten San Bernardino College, whose players arrived in Palm Desert by walking off their team bus chanting, "5-0!" Johnson put up 514 passing yards and threw five touchdowns without an interception, while also rushing for 54 yards and two additional scores. It was San Bernardino's only regular season loss of the year.
Johnson's signature moment, though, came in COD's final game of the season, against rival Mt. San Jacinto College, on Nov. 14. Leading for most of the game, COD gave up the lead with under a minute left to play. Down by three with 45 seconds to play, Johnson found Buyck streaking down the field and connected with him for a game-winning 72-yard touchdown pass.
