Matthew McConaughey - Man in Black

Idris Elba - Roland Deschain

Both are surprising to me. I think I like it though. McConaughey is capable of producing a very terrifying and funny Man in Black. We'll see if he's up to it.

I'm pretty excited to see this one.

I'm only in Book 3 right now, but I'm curious about how this will develop visually. Do you know if this is going to be some stand alone movies, a Netflix/Amazon movie, tv show, other?

I do not know... I assumed a full length movie.

I'm not really sure.

I do know that Blaine is a pain, and that is the truth.

I did read somewhere that they would be doing #4 first and then back to do The Gunslinger. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but it makes some sense.

I'll pass if McConaughey is staring. The books are good though.

This is an old link, but it was just recently being considered for a hybrid showing between TV and film.

Also, Elba is all wrong for #4, or at least most of it. I guess they will start with The Gunslinger and that's why there was no announcement of casting for Eddie and what's her name(s).
