Yeah, considering our history, this is why you won't find me complaining too much after a win over Vandy. Wins don't come easy in this conference, even against teams like Vandy.

I get it, that is the attitude of some, but to me its unacceptable. Look at the teams that hired coaches the same year Stoops was hired. I can't recall all of them, but in the SEC there was Tennessee and Arkansas, I believe. I look at the product those coaches have developed within the same time frame. Is it too much for me (and other fans) to expect the same quality football?

I can't accept the belief we can't build a winning football team. That is completely Bull ****. We have the facilities, the fans and were willing to pay the money for a good coach. If UofL can do it, I know damn well we can, and this negative **** doesn't help.
If Coach Stoops can't get the job done, then get rid of him and hire another coach. Money talks!

The reason why people are complaining you goober is because we're not making a bowl game unless our passing game improves. We have to basically be perfect to eek out 3 more wins with that type of passing game and the odds of that are so slim....

UT and many other SEC teams are always going to have more star talent than UK. UofL also plays teams with more star talent than them. The key here is always going to be to find someone like Petrino or Leach ( who both waited on a call) to come in here and win with less star talent. The key comes down to coaching and evaluation.

My only argument to this would be that we are light years behind in football tradition then either Arkansas and Tennessee.

Take note all, this is how to respectfully disagree. Give a thoughtful response without childish and immature rants.

Then maybe our fans should stop paying all of the money we pay to attend these games if we are NEVER going to be any better than sub .500 in the SEC?

This type of attitude starts at the top. It's why we have been so mediocre for so many years.

SAD.

Since, WWII, UK has pretty much dominated the series. From 1896-1945, Vanderbilt had a 19-1-2 record vs. the Cats. From 1945-present, UK leads the series 42-23-2.

GBB!!!
This..in modern era (I'll call it 1970's to current)...UK has dominated Vandy and I think only 6 winning seasons since 1970 (over 40+ years). UK is not a good football program...but we are a solid head better than Vandy.

Most people don't know there was a time when Vanderbilt was THE dominate program in southern football. When Neyland was hired at UT it wasn't to beat Bama or UGA or UF...it was to beat Vandy. For whatever reason Vandy went from an athletic emphasis to an academic emphasis probably post WWII, maybe a little earlier.
