STFU!! You were a caddie for the top golfer of his era for 13 years. You made millions upon millions caddying for a caddie living the highlife living in the finest hotels all over the world, flying in private jets, being treated as royalty everywhere your employer went and many times were treated very well off the clock just because of your employer. Do you know how slaves are treated for the unbearable work and acts they have to do? Forget slaves, do you know how many low income people have to do so much more demeaning work and actions for pittance throughout the world?

I hope not a single person buys this worthless POS book and read the trash that he wrote.

While I admit I've only read a couple excerpts of his comments about this old boss thus far, I think I'm in pretty-much lockstep with you on this one, BRU.

While Tige and his personal Gestapo made-up all the ground rules....and always have (go ask Fluff Cowan about that).....Williams always seemed to me to go along with them with singular joy. And while (in my own estimation) Woods remains anything but a sympathetic character, Williams really does an amazing job cementing himself among the sporting world's most self-righteous hacks with this smelly kiss-and-tell.

I wonder if Adam Scott.....or anyone else who currently uses SW.....has re-thought his own his professional relationship with Williams since release of the book. Not so much because of SW's published views on Woods, but because of the possibility Williams could encounter heckling by spectators at future US events; hence, becoming a legitimate distraction. I'd think the last thing a Tour pro needs to be worrying about is who's going to be calling my caddy an a****** on the way to the next tee.

yeah he probably shouldn't have gone down that road.. quite a few golfers get bent during a round..I once saw PGA golfer Ken Green miss a putt and just flat out winged his putter at his caddy..we were all kind of in shock..my buddy yells at Green...He didn't putt it!...that caddy was lucky he didn't get his teeth knocked out..

Ken Green......now there was a certifiable whack-job (and I don't mean politically).

I know it was over 20 years but I remember it well, he was wearing an ugly pair of Kelly green golf shoes that day..strange that I can't remember what I had for dinner three days ago.

I think slave is an unfortunate word to use not just because Tiger is black (or Camblerasian or whatever) but because real slaves exist and have existed and it's demeaning to what they go through to call Steve Williams a slave.

Also, although I can see how Tiger is being baby-ish by throwing a club and expecting the caddy to pick it up, realistically when you're in the heat of the battle the whole point for the main guy (Tiger in this case) to do whatever he needs to to win. If not politely handing the club bag to the caddy after a bad shot is what Tiger needs to do then so be it.

I'm surprised to hear the spitting thing though. I would have thought that in a genteel game like golf spitting would be against the rules.

They are entertainers and the entertainment is usually treated very well.

How much money did Steve Williams cash in because of Tiger's success? Yeah, my point exactly. Williams needs to STFU. He wasn't complaining when he was taking those paychecks to the bank during Tiger's prime.

It really IS that simple......just another of the myriad reasons why the PGA Tour is among THE most valuable individual memberships in the free world.
