I watched the OSU post-game press confernce and the media, players and coaches were all focusing on how Ohio State just didn't have it today. They were flawed today. It had nothing to do with Northwestern being the better team. I hope our guys play with a chip on their shoulders the rest of the year. No one believes in them except for themselves and they need to take on the world!

After beating MSU, duh-OSU must have thought they'd found a higher level of play, surely high enough to beat pesky NU. Lots of good players on duh-OSU and NU EARNED a really hard-fought victory.

Great learning experience for the team, too - playing to the last second to the last point against a strong opponent.

I don't know how even biased sports heads can overlook NU's gutsy win.

Sorry, boys, let's be realistic: Neither team was exactly Wooden's UCLA Bruins out there today. Nobody has the right to be cocky about much of anything.

Nobody is smiling more about 5-2 than me, but Collins has plenty of video to work with this week.

On the other hand, ESPN's college basketball front page, as of the time of this post, has three tweets and two stories about NU basketball. People are starting to pay attention.

Well, I just found the two stories - though both of these were posted before the Ohio State win. Surprised the historic win against Ohio State (the first at Ohio State in 4 decades) didn't merit its own story.

I guess if you don't win against a top 25 team it is like a tree falling in a forest that makes no sound because no one is there to hear it.

OSU hasn't had it for several games this year.

The stats dont lie. We are among the best in the league defending 3 pt shots. And we are close to the top regarding many defensive (conference only) stats.
With a sample of 7 games, we can conclude that our defense against osu was consistent with what we would have expected.
