StL Cardinals Remix

About a month ago, they started playing sound fundamental baseball and started winning. I listen to or watch on TV almost every game. The first part of the season, their fundamentals were terrible. I don't recall ever seeing such an abrupt change.
I have been pleasantly surprised with how many runs the Cards have been scoring this year. We have had some really boring games last few years of few runs and a lot of strikeouts, I think we are currently 7th in the majors in runs scored.
Since we have a Cards thread. I saw this about Lou Gehrig the other day. Two men in history have 500 doubles, 150 triples and 450 homers. Lou and Stan Musial.
Yeah, Cubs 8-2 last ten games. Cards lost 2 of 3.
Still really like where we are in the division. Because at the beginning of the year I thought we were certain to end up 10 or worse under.
Rumor has it Cardinal third baseman Nolan Arenado has announced he WILL NOT participate in to night's pride night in St Louis. Don't know if it is the game itself or just the pre game celebrations.

The Cards Friday night 'The Lou' jerseys are ghetto trash...but the Cardinals didn't play like trash. Beating the defending champs 5-0.

As horrible as the LOU uniforms were, the OG unis with the iconic jersey and the classic single pants pinstripe they wore today more than made up for it.
Those, and road baby blues are the two best uniforms in MLB.

The 8th and 9th innings today were crazy. Ohtani hits what looks like an easy out 2nd out in the 9th and it hits the bag and pops up in the air...they score their only run on a passed ball when Freeman strikes out.
The only sad note of the series was announcer Chip Carey (who I like a hell of a lot better than the last guy) going full 'Dad Joke' after one of our homeruns in Game one of the series:
Carey: 'In Scotland, they would say he kilt it'

Got a win today. Had a 5-3 lead in Game 2 against the Braves going into the 8th inning and lost.
Have to win those. Honestly everything I'm reading, management isn't even trying to win. Won't bring up McGreevey, Marmol clearly from statements would rather start him than Fedde or Mikolas. I think they didn't even expect the Cards would have a winning record at this point and the goal was to trade certain players before the deadline.
