I remember back when there was massive selling instead of buying in the last hour of trading. I sold the rest of my DVY position today during this time.

I'm baffled at this amount of optimism. I guess everyone is just itching to spend, have nothing else going on and are buying right before these companies are going to announce serious earnings shortfalls.

The banks are amassing money to withstand the defaults but JPM and BAC popped today. I sold half my position in JPM at a minimal profit. Probably put it back in in a month.

If I'm wrong, so be it. Either way, pick up deals or grin as the wave carries me, I'm good.

Pretty pissed I didn't by 1000 shares of Disney at 93
Disney is still a deal and will probably go lower again. All of their parks are closed. ESPN is struggling for content.

May 5 is their earnings call. Probably won't dwell on Q2 and move on to how Q3 will be. (Not great) You'll get another chance at it under 100.

I think you are really going to have to be patient on that one.

Oil goes Negative, but let's look deeper: that's WTI. Brent Crude, which 2/3rds of the oil in the world is priced on is at $ 26. WTI is obviously West Texas Intermediate.....American Oil. The frackers will go out of business in droves and this time won't return for a long time en masse. This makes companies like Exxon and Shell stronger over time. Now I've always liked Shell and like it even more now. They are THE most diversified of the Oil Super Majors with ONLY 21% of their yearly revenue tied to the price of Oil......Almost 80% of their yearly revenue isn't tied to oil. Place your bets! Mine is and has been on Shell.

That chance looks like it will come this week. Hovering around $100 right now. I expect it to go lower with the news that Disney is furloughing 100k workers.

You have to wonder what a down day tomorrow or 3 straight days, does to sentiment now. Smack dab in the middle of earnings season.

I think you’ll make a nice profit but it’ll take a while. It might take a year......or three.....to really start to turn major profits.

Can’t wait to hear what else you’re getting into.

Tech doesn’t excite you or you have more knowledge in the energy area?
I have been watching energy get slaughtered and it caught my interest based on the old blood in the water/buy when others are selling theories. I am more optimistic than most about the long term impact of COVID-19 and I think energy will improve when this mess clears and economies start moving. It strikes me as a good long term opportunity. Do you have some Tech interests that you could share? I am certainly open to learning.

I bought some Chevron on 4/1 at $69 and it's up 30% since then. My only regret is that I didn't buy more.

I try not to trade them, buy the best of the best when I catch them down (literally never for some)-with zero commissions, you can accumulate small numbers of shares of ADBE MSFT NVDA, AMZN NFLX but wait for a drop, KEYS I like in 5G. Lots of bargains out there in fintech such as MA or V.

Think of them all as trades rather than investments.

My VIAC is up 48% since purchase a few weeks ago. HBI up 33%.

Life is good.

Good luck, and may the market bring you much profit over the coming months.

Yep, I grabbed some VIAC on 4/1 at $13 based on a tip in this thread...if it was you then thanks!

That and the CVX I purchased the same day at $69 has made me quite a bit this month.

Blessed that I'm able to WFH and have the money to bring into the market now when so many others are struggling.

Bought some more TDOC.
Probably increase my position in MU and start one in AMD. Already have a bunch of NVDA.

Still think we'll get back near the recent lows.
