What do people think of SpaceX and the pending OpenAI and Anthropic IPOs? SpaceX has had a ton of volatility opening at $150, rising to $200, and now around $115. I got some at $157 and $135 to hold long term.

With OpenAI and Anthropic they are the AI duopoly at this point with the most users and revenue. Open models are getting a lot of talk with the recent Kimi K3 release and have potential as companies get concerns about token cost. However, I don't think most companies trust Chinese models or have the expertise in-house to configure and use the open models as their primary strategy. I like a mixture of experts approach where there is an LLM router or orchestrator that routes requests to the right model based which is more cost effective than simply using the most powerful frontier models for everything.

I knew all the gloom and doom for SaaS companies like Salesforce was overblown, and never sold my Salesforce shares. Benioff is one of the great CEOs.

How difficult is it to get approval from a brokerage for options trading?

varies by brokerage but most are just answering some questions on your knowledge and experience. There's no fact checking that i'm aware of, so you can answer however you want. Usually they'll grant only Level 1 or Level 2 initially, then you can re-apply for level 3 after you have some transactions under your belt. I manage my MIL's ROTH through Schwab and they wont let me go above Level 1 unless i talk to them on the phone, which i cant do since the account isnt in my name.
