Hey Krazy, thanks for the stock tips.

I am more interested in your recommendations for shoe shine brands. Do you prefer Kiwi or Lincoln, TIA.

To buy what? Everything is selling off. In my work I can't go to cash. Was pretty much the only name up yesterday. If the entire market sells off, Internet names are going to get killed. Just how it is.

i mean, krazykats got in early by bashing his guy for not getting behind his plan to take an early withdrawal on his 401k to invest in individual stocks.

:joy::joy::joy:

what an *******!! same jerk probably talked you out of leveraging your house to go big on the last powerball drawing.

Actually dipshit I just simply didn't like that in no funds I'm offered do I even have the option at having any stake in a stock or market I find interesting. Even credited it to what I saw in the Big Short as a reason I like the idea. Once I was told sorry in an uppity ***** way I threw it out there as a mere suggestion because the manager at prudential sounded stupid.

I'm finally where my 401K actually has a value worthy of giving a damn about one way or the other. I had it almost 100% stock based for years and now am trying to figure out how to manage it and be diversified enough to be comfortable.

I've been about 70% stock, 20% bonds, and 10% international in my 401k but I just switched it up to about 75% bonds, 20% stock and 5% international. I'm just not trusting the stock market right now. China has way too much influence over it right now(and probably rightly so) so I'm going with a bit more safety for the next 6 months or so.

I tried buying individual stocks and just don't have the patience for it so I'm just putting money into my 401k and changing up my allocations about once a quarter and let it ride. I've still got a couple decades till I retire. But I am definitely behind where I'd like to be.

If you want a TRADE, I'd buy LNKD ahead of their Thursday earnings report. I believe they are going to destroy Q4 estimates, and give decent Q1/FY1 guidance. This is a RISKY idea though. Could make 15-20% by Friday, but if I'm wrong, you could lose about 15% as well.
Ouch!

Yeah, I got smoked on that one. SMOKED. S.M.O.K.E.D. This job keeps ya humble for sure.

Those dipshits didn't even understand why their stock was down 40%. They were like, "Nothing has changed". Yeah, except the fact that you are telling everyone you are going to exit the year growing mid-teens with no margin expansion. That's a small change.

Schwab does most of my money management however I have a small portion for myself that I invest. About 2 1/2 yrs ago, I started investing in one mREIT due to their high yield dividends with the idea of just reinvesting and building shares. I had a good run for the first part, last year and beginning of this year has been a butt kicking in that sector, but I'm picking up cheaper shares right now. So I'll see in the long run. Has anyone else been (or in), the mREIT sector?

65% Vanguard Total US Index
20% Vanguard Total International Index
15% Vanguard Total Bond Index

That's my portfolio. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't skew to international as much. Considering rebalancing more like 75/10/15.
