Yeah I agree. This thing is starting to trying into a **** show. Grab Holt and get some shooters and a big guy from the portal. I don't think we'll need many guys for next season anyway. I would like to have had Stokes because I see his potential if he gets his head right. I'm starting to wonder about that, tho
A mobile scoring forward is needed plus a top notch point guard
A shot blocker inside would also be great

You take whoever wants to commit when talking about top talent, seems simple to me. But I believe we are being strung along by all of the kids in this class. Either way I’m sure the coaches will figure it out.

I would not be upset if we cut ties off with Stokes. I have read in the past that he isn't great to get along with. I am like many of you, I would go hard after Oladotun, Holt and Collins. That would be a monster class,
I wish that we would have made Thompson a priority over Stokes. I think that we could have got him.

Would you be upset if he went to Kansas scored 30 and beat us,I'd say half this board would

We're going to have to see who comes back before looking that far ahead. You've potentially only got two open roster spots after this season, should everyone with eligibility return.

I get and understand this, but if college guys wanna be paid, they’re gonna have to be treated like pros. Which means if we bring in two super talented guys, regardless if they are recruits or from the portal, sounds like 2 current roster guys will have to transfer and find new homes if they want to retain eligibility. Can’t take the biggest paycheck every year, then expect a high level of loyalty reciprocated to you. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
Although I do think Pope is a loyal guy, and did a great job year 1 to 2 of retaining some guys based on relationship.

If he broke a kids jaw sign him TODAY.
We’ve had nothing but soft girls for years. Get an ******* in here that the whole country hates. It automatically makes other teams off their game when dealing with a psycho. And pope has the right mentality to do with that kind of kid and make him keep his anger toward the other team.

I guess we'll find out next spring, huh?

Sounds like preemptive cope, get out in front of the disappointment of potentially missing a top recruit by trying to convince yourself you didn't want him anyway
Sounds like you should keep your day job. Psycholanalysis is not your calling.

The recruiting cycle is all about agents and money. I have a good friend in Vandy athletic structure that told me that most of these kids no longer make the decision about where they go, thier agents do. The agents don't give a rip about the college game it's all about who pays and strategic positioning for the jump to the league.

He might pull a Telfair and go play in Europe a year until NBA draft eligible.

It's amazing how taking a years worth of 101 college classes scares off *some* of these players. Like, no one is going to care if you pass or not. It's 2025, we know you're here to play basketball. Just wild to me.. yo're 18-years old, just have to take 15-hours of courses a week, and your surrounded by 10,000 coeds and endless parties.

Not defending Cal at all but Sharpe and his handlers absolutely lied to Cal.
Cal had many flaws but I’m not sure what he could have done in the Sharpe situation. Transcripts magically are produced deep into February that he graduated a year ago, you can either A. Take him and his family at their word that he will be back next year. Or B. Dismiss him, take a terrible PR hit, and have the same eventual result of him never playing for UK.

This. I think Cal was lied to from the start. He gets here and his people change it to him never playing and going pro. Cal’s hands are pretty much tied because he can’t make a big stink that could be used negatively against him with recruiting. He is kind of backed into a corner as a players first coach.

because option A is in crazy town. if he comes fine but dont invest any resources into it. All of our resources need to go to plan b becasue right now we have nothing. it would be different if he was committed, but he isn't and we aren't even sure if he will play college ball.
I said watch him not pick any of the three and just go overseas 🤣 I was kidding but hopefully he’s a Cat.
