Are we?Let him go quack off. We’re good
Good doesn't win championships.Let him go quack off. We’re good
We already know I don’t agree with the premise on this, Saul. I think it’s an emotional reaction. Feel the same pain you do thoughGood doesn't win championships.
Dominant does, and you don't get that without lottery-level studs.
But I guess a team with 14 Jaland Lowe-level guys will kick some serious butt next year, eh?
With NIL and the Transfer Portal the days of Dominance for any school is over. No one program will ever be dominant. The playing field is leveled out and parity is at an all time high. Nothing we do can change that. We can ensure we are in the fight year in and out but dominance doesn’t exist in today’s college climate. It’s impossible.Good doesn't win championships.

I disagree with this. We had a chance to go dominant ourselves. Give 0% to football and 100% to basketball and buy some super teams and kick everyone’s a$$es but we can’t do that because we get a lot of pride out of being mediocre in footballWith NIL and the Transfer Portal the days of Dominance for any school is over. No? Then why did UConn win back-to-back titles in the fabled portal era? With NIL and the Transfer Portal the days of Dominance for any school is over. No one program will ever be dominant. They didn’t do with a bunch of Stokes and Dybantsa’s either thoughNo? Then why did UConn win back-to-back titles in the fabled portal era?
i agree. maybe its because im younger, but when i grew up, talent was the last thing we lacked in, now its the only thing we lack inGood doesn't win championships.

Good question. No? Then why did UConn win back-to-back titles in the fabled portal era?
This is a perfect example of the point I’ve been making. As fans we look at the thing we think we don’t have. Instead, wouldn’t it make more sense to see what the teams that are winning all the titles do have and try to build like that?i agree. maybe its because im younger, but when i grew up, talent was the last thing we lacked in, now its the only thing we lack in

Not true,Polacheck said this means nothing Kentucky still leadsLook for the Oregon rumors to heat up quickly
They had better Portal players and those players play in the NBANo? Then why did UConn win back-to-back titles in the fabled portal era?
wait until u find out the reason we won a title and got those final fours the last decade was bc of talented freshmanThis is a perfect example of the point I’ve been making. Those guys also stayed in the program, with the exception of two guys. Hurley is no dummy. He didn’t load up on McDonald’s. He built the way champions are built. They had better Portal players and those players play in the NBA
How many titles have been won since the field expanded to 64 teams by teams full of OAD?wait until u find out the reason we won a title and got those final fours the last decade was bc of talented freshman
You do need at least one lottery level stud. And we may have that in Quantance but I'm not holding my breath. Our luck he'll blow that knee out his first full practice. But there's no sure-fire lotto level studs in this class. Stokes could be but he's too weak between the ears.Good doesn't win championships.

You can have a mixture of studs but you need older guys that can also play . Not just trying to ride out there final yr then get a 9-5Those guys also stayed in the program, with the exception of two guys. Hurley is no dummy. He didn’t load up on McDonald’s. He built the way champions are built.
Really? When he was at his old high school he was a lot closer to Oregon than Kentucky anyway so why would that matter
all those teams that are "experienced" that won are supplemented by talented freshman w nba talentHow many titles have been won since the field expanded to 64 teams by teams full of OAD?
Wrong. Go look through the history books and come back. Don’t think with your feel feels. Think with ya noggin, my friendall those teams that are "experienced" that won are supplemented by talented freshman w nba talent
like castle and clingan, also freshman are FAR more valuable to a team than older players for the better teams, imagine duke last year without flagg, unc without wilson, byu without aj, kansas without dp, oklahoma without fears, theres so many examples
ooooh ooooh i know. *raises hand*. PICK ME PICK ME *answers anyway*How many titles have been won since the field expanded to 64 teams by teams full of OAD?
May be but, all he did was move to the state to the north of Oregon from the state just south of Oregon. Doesn't hurt or improve our chances.Look for the Oregon rumors to heat up quickly
Sherman Oaks, California is 844 miles from Eugene, Oregon and Seattle is 283, hmmm using my Kentucky logic and mathematics. I see that you are right. Dumb*ss!When he was at his old high school he was a lot closer to Oregon than Kentucky anyway so why would that matter
This guy gets itooooh ooooh i know. *raises hand*. PICK ME PICK ME *answers anyway*
TWO. 2012 UK and 2015 Duke. and both teams also had multiple key returnees in the rotation.
You need talented experience. Gotta have both
the last 2 years of getting pounded has bro talking about "history books" fohWrong. Go look through the history books and come back. Don’t think with your feel feels. Think with ya noggin, my friend
Last 40 years of champs is what I’m looking at. This is Kentucky. We want to win titles. Having a really talented team that makes a deep run but loses isn’t the endgamethe last 2 years of getting pounded has bro talking about "history books" foh
I didn't hear anyone say thatGood doesn't win championships.

u cant win titles every year buddy, but ic the goal is to be closest to the top with the chance oc winning dont act like talent would hurt that goalLast 40 years of champs is what I’m looking at. Whoa Nelly. Find a quote where I said to avoid talent like the plague lol. You might be missing the point. Talent isn’t the main thing, continuity of talent is. But it’s not always the obvious kind of talent you need. Sometimes it’s keeping those diamonds in the rough around in your program. Sometimes it’s keeping that project player who eventually becomes a problem.u cant win titles every year buddy, but ic the goal is to be closest to the top with the chance oc winning dont act like talent would hurt that goal
sorry i just cant agree w that, thats like saying if we had fears last year pope should suppress him to keep him here, kids dont want to be held back they wanna go pro, thats why fears flourished at ou, why pettiford flourished at auburn, and probably why acaden left, hope jasper doesnt do the sameWhoa Nelly. This is why I say let’s put our emotions aside and go with the facts. Go looking at whatever set of data you want about recent champions and see what you find out. My aim isn’t to change your mind about what you prefer. We are both grown enough to make those discernments. However, I will tell you that there was more 4 star talent than 5 star talent in champions over the last couple decades. Especially starting around the mid noughties. There’s reason for that — I’m a fan just like you and I want us to focus on known factors that lead to titles. That’s all.sorry i just cant agree w that, thats like saying if we had fears last year pope should suppress him to keep him here, kids dont want to be held back they wanna go pro, thats why fears flourished at ou, why pettiford flourished at auburn, and probably why acaden left, hope jasper doesnt do the same
i am frustrated fan, im not a fan that demands championships every year, i think i can enjoy a season based off other things, like exciting play, and explosive talent, just gives me something to get amped about, also i grew up on cal so thats where its coming fromIt wouldn’t hurt. You need talented guys that will come back as well though.
I think we have good enough players this year. I’m not sold on Pope.
Also sorry if i was rude to you before. You’re clearly just a frustrated fan that wants to win more. I get it.
You don’t think we could use elite talent? I feel the need to remind people that pope has recruited the hell out of stokes. So do we trust the coach or not? It’s always weird that fans will see the hours of hard work and the air miles and the money it takes to recruit players. Then if we don’t get the kid the fans just blow it off like we didn’t even need the kid. He’s the number 1 player in the class. We are Kentucky. Sign the damn kid.Yes, I think so. Nothing uncorrectable
Football pays the bills. I can’t believe people even have this line of thinking. The basketball only fans are wacko.I disagree with this. We had a chance to go dominant ourselves.
