Just checking, are there any worthwhile dining options within 30 minutes of Stonewall? Going to be there four nights next month and am wondering if other options exist close by?

There really aren't many great non-chain options in Lewis County. Aside from the food at the lodge (which is pretty good), your best bet would be to head up I79 to Clarksburg.

Although it may be slightly more than 30 minutes away, I'd seriously reccomend a trip to Muriale's in Fairmont. SW Resort is just off exit 91, Muriale's is maybe a mile away from exit 132, so you're looking at 41 miles at interstate speed, but there will undoubtedly be some traffic involved. Muriale's specializes in Italian food, and I've never had anything from there that I regretted ordering. Phillips Restaurant on Bridgeport Hill has some amazingly good Italian food, but their new location is somewhat cramped. Then there's the Wonder Bar, (they specialize in steaks) on top of OLD Bridgeport Hill, all within 30 minutes or so to the north of Stonewall Resort. If it's homestyle food you're wanting, try the I-79er at exit 79 just minutes south of Stonewall Resort, their parking lot is aways full of hungry visitors, sometimes by the bus load..

Go to the "Wonder Bar" and "Julio's" in Clarksburg. Two best restaurants within 50 miles of you.

Cafe Cimino in Sutton is really good too. Not exactly how far away that would be.

Wonder Bar Steakhouse and Red Caboose in Clarksburg and Muriales in South fairmont are all excellent choices.

Definitely seems to be the consensus. Looks like a trip to Clarksburg/Bridgeport for golf on Friday has become a possibility on the trip, so we may well be looking at a late afternoon dining option that day.

Thanks for those recommendations. Looks like we will be in the Bridgeport/Clarksburg area on Friday afternoon so we will be looking for a lunch stop more than a dinner.
