Nonsense, it was more than than that and any sentient being should understand that.

it was not over the top egregious but is absolutely more the “protecting himself”
The ironic part is that if a personal foul penalty had been called during the game, except for internal unannounced team discipline there likely would be no suspension after the game. 🤷‍♂️

I respectfully disagree. This team has demonstrated a lack of discipline on so many levels. I think it was about time that the coaches took some disciplinary action. Actions need to have consequences. This will be a valuable lesson for not only Hansard but for the whole team. And let me be clear. It matters not to me who is disciplined. If Dotson was the perpetrator, he should receive the same disciplinary action and I would support that.
I don’t disagree on the lack of discipline part. I do disagree that this is any sort of real discipline or setting any new standard for the team. It’s obvious that Franklin did this because the league was going to do it if he didn’t.

You may be right. IMO I believe the inconsistent performance of this team is due to the lack of discipline. They love hype and flashiness, like the videos of some lineman pumping a lot of weight. But are they disciplined in doing the weight room workouts. Our interior linemen seem to get pushed around a lot.

Looks like the corrupt B1G was calling the shots....

"The Big Ten had reached out to ask if Penn State planned to discipline Hansard", Franklin said.
Just wondering if the Conference reached out to Illinois after the DT’s cheap shot on Clifford, or to Minny after their player took out Joe Julius? (BTW, I think Julius “embellished” his injury in true soccer player fashion.) 😉

I agree with this. I want to see a more disciplined team and a tougher attitude on the field.

Strikes me as a bit of an overreaction.
Absolutely ridiculous. I applauded him for hitting a Maryland player after their bs in 2015 not shaking our hands .he should get promoted to first string for the first series.

Did they plan on reviewing the fumbled snap by ohio state? That is what I would have said.

I keep reading references to the BIG meddling in this. Did they actually say something or is that urban legend?

Just curious......if Joe Paterno was still Coaching .....how many snaps to you think Fred would see vs Michigan?
Against Michigan? Not sure. Couldn’t be much less than he saw last week.
I would say this though: If the Big 10 contacted Joe and told him what to do to Hansard I can just about guarantee you Joe wouldn’t have done it.

And who apologized when Wisconsin broke Joe's leg? I'll bet that the conference never looked into that.
