Usually you have to make sure the other stream is off before it will work. It won't kick them as far as I know. I usually have to go turn one of them off in another room for it to work

Pretty sure YouTube doesn't work on FireTV. For some reason YouTube is not allowed on any of the Amazon products. That is unless something has changed recently.

Google/YouTube had a spat about 1.5 years ago with Amazon and at that time, YouTube would not allow its app to be on the firestick. About a month or so ago, the YouTube app came back to the firestick. However, the app for YouTube TV is still not on the firestick, so if you go with that service, you'd need to get a Roku device to play it on. I have both a firestick and Roku on my TV's and each one has their own pros and cons.

Interesting, I bought three TCL Roku TVs when we moved so it's all built in our main areas. Great TVs for the price. Eventually I'll upgrade the main TV to whatever has the best picture at that time.

few things...

- you don't need 100gb to stream, 720p is like 5Gpbs; don't rent a modem and don't overpay for internet if don't want to
- you can get comcast business, no data cap
- youtubetv app can work on firestick, there's a workaround
- youtubetv a friend can add you to his account, they allow something like 5 family shares
- you can use station apps to get around stream limit, i think so atleast.
- a firestick with kodi will get you everything for free, just not high quality and fully reliable

that said, I don't watch TV except UK games and Soccer... all soccer can be found high quality streaming and I'd venture to say American sports would in the future if people continue to cut the chord. for me tv is more of a waste of time than anything else, unnecessary bill like most where they nickle dime you and act like they are doing you some favor, reality is they are gouging you cause and while they can

I use YoutubeTV through my Xbox One, so that's an option also. I also find myself using the app and watching on the ipad if I'm bouncing around the house doing stuff and too busy to sit around.
