Sturgill Simpson coming to OKC (Criterion)

Sturgill Simpson announced a new tour and album this week. He is booked for the Criterion May 11. Really excited about this because I love Simpson but I also think the Criterion is going to be pretty big for OKC. The early bookings have been solid and pretty diverse (My Morning Jacket, Simpson, Disclosure, Glass Animals). Live Nation is helping book the place.

I think this place will go a long way towards helping OKC get some of the Cain-level shows we miss out on a lot.

I've heard the Glass Animals put on a cool show. Had some friends go to the Tulsa show. Might look into going to that one and checking out the new venue.

Yeah would definitely be cool to have a venue simular to cains in okc

It's a lot more like the Brady or Majestic in Dallas .. not a ballroom but a theater.

I was looking at the configurations for the different concerts already ticketing. Surprised to see many were GA standing room.
