Nazareth played in both the 2018 and 2019 7A championship games. Am I interpreting the success factor rules correctly when I conclude they will be moved up to 8A for 2020 and 2021? As I understand the rule, if a team plays in the championship game at least twice in the last four years, and at least one of those appearances is in the last two years, the team is moved up one class level.

Or is there a limit that a team can only be moved up once? Since Nazareth's enrollment (as multiplied) would place them in 6A, are they limited to go no higher than 7A?

Related question...if sports aren't played this fall, does the success factor get thrown into disarray or become meaningless without playing this fall? Does it revert to the last seasons played? Does 5A football suddenly become the monster with a number of private schools losing success factor, or maybe even multipliers? What if this screws up next year as well? Does McNamara suddenly drop to 2A, IC to 2A, etc. etc.

Nazareth is 7a this year because prior to last year the 2 year cycle got reset. So if they were to go to state in 2020 they could be 8a for 2021.

And Naz’s multiplied enrollment last couple years has them in 5a so they have been bumped up 2 classes last 2 seasons and going to 8a in 2021 would be 3 class bump. But if there is no season not sure if they reset the 2 year cycle or pretend 2020 didn’t exist and treat 2021 as second year of cycle 2019/2021 or what they will do.

2 year deal to provide “stability” of classes each 2 year cycle. This was all created to fit 2 year cycles for redistricting the districts.... will see if they change things in future if districts never come back.

Rita stays healthy. Obviously in great contention for another trophy

Hear Alabama offered Kaleb Brown from SR a scholarship today. Isn't this highly unusual for the offer to be before he starts his Jr. year?

Also MC left the Blue for two years. SR is in the green now. Who is the next school to rotate out?

I believe it runs on the 2 year cycle and after this season they would’ve done a promotion/relegation type realignment with all the divisions. Bottom team (over 2 season span) moves to a lower division while top team moves up a division. I could be wrong though.

i think next year (assuming this year occurs). The CCL/ESCC will realign again. And Kaleb a Rare Breed. Will have a tough decision one day to make on college (So many choices). But wish him the best.

Not to early for a talent like that.
