Never watched a show where I hated pretty much everyone on it. But ole Tommy Boy moved up to least hated. Great season final.

I kind of want to check this out. I have a rule of letting almost every show go a few seasons before I decide if I want to get into them.

But people speak highly of it. What makes it so great? Good story, acting, dialogue?

Tom is Shiv's *****. She has already cucked him and he seems to be a strap-on taker. He is a wuss no matter what.

Bold, but short-sighted, move. Logan got what he wanted. At some point next season, Tom is back in the basement.

Highly recommend. The people in it are just ruthless. It’s awesome.

Just started watching Season 1, getting ready to start episode 5. Doesn't make me want to binge watch, but seems to be a good filler when I can't find anything else on.

EDIT: I lied...binge-worthy. Just finished Season 3 last night (1/16).

I like Succession but Billions (Showtime/Amazon) is a better show of a similar nature IMO.

I've never watched Billions but I highly doubt that it's better. HBO shows are to Showtime shows as SEC football is to ACC football.

Give it a try. The first few seasons are free on Amazon Prime. The cast is outstanding (Damien Lewis from Homeland and Band of Brothers, Paul Giamotti from Sideways and Cinderella Man, Maggie Siff from Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men, etc.). Then judge.

I know what it is. I'm aware of who's in it. I'm just not a fan of Showtime shows. Thanks for the rec though.

Yep, need to get on Billions also.. im a big fan of Paul Giamatti. Love him in everything I've seen him in.

I enjoy and appreciate shows that can take a pretty normal/boring/everyday premise and make compelling TV out of it. The Wire, Oz, Curb, Mad Men, come to mind.. generally because those shows rely on character, dialogue, etc.

Once the Christmas movies are done, I'll start one of these up.

Showtime has Homeland/Ray Donovan/Billions to name a few. Their music documentaries have been great, Motown/Rick James/Michael Jackson Off the Wall, etc. Solid network but they are playing catch-up to HBO. Given streaming is king, creating your own content is the future and both of the channels are positioned well but HBO had a major head start in content creation.

Some of these streaming services are gonna have to be absorbed by others at some point, right?

I got Peacock for all the NBC stuff, that's like my 5th service that I belong to, and there's about 7 or 8 other I could add on if I wanted to.

I think it all depends on content they own/create. Why you see every network creating a streaming source. Can Netflix survive on their own content? They are light years behind HBO and Showtime on the amount of content they have created. Going to take a lot of money to catch up. Is that a good business model?. Will they be cut off from access to programming, especially shows from yesteryear where the shows old network starts a streaming service?

I don’t know man my initial thought was this as well, but who woulda thunk ole wussy Tom would be potentially be the man? Just a great potential curveball.

I really like the actor who plays Tom he was in Ripper St & smaller part in The Last Kingdom. Quite a departure for him character wise in Succession but he and Logan Roy’s portrayals have been excellent IMO.

Someone should come up with a way to bundle the various services and platforms together and sell them as one package so you get access to a plethora of channels without having to pay each network separately.
