NU 64 PU 58! Great win for the CATS for the first time in program history over a #1 team. Keep up the momentum for the run to the Big Ten tourney and (cautiously optimistically) the NCAA tournament. Was really great to see the student body loud and engaged rooting for the team. Hopefully this game will be remembered as another critical point in helping build the program. This definitely is going to make tonight's Super Bowl between Philly and KC anti-climactic for even though it may turn out to be a great Super Bowl!

This story should lead SportsCenter tonight. There are no other sporting events happening today as far as I know.

Actually, it will be interesting to see how much mention this gets during the Super Bowl and at half time. I can't imagine it doesn't at least get a nod. If they spend a minute on it, it will be worth something like $10,000,000 in free publicity for NU Sports.
