Looked it up. He did Super Bowl 55. He's also the one that threw the flag that negated the Chiefs win over the Steelers in the postseason in 2017.

"Cheffers is notoriously flag-happy, so it isn't just against Kansas City. In fact, Cheffers’ crew has called the most penalties in the NFL over the last two years. Additionally, Cheffers’ crew called the second-most pass interference penalties in the NFL this season; although, he will not be with his normal crew for the Super Bowl. Cheffers’ crew called the second-most pass interference penalties in the NFL this season. But it's when the Chiefs are on the stage it seems to come up the most. They're flagged 8.3 times per game in 10 games of the Patrick Mahomes-Andy Reid era, and their Super Bowl run against the Buccaneers ended with 11 flags for 120 yards vs. four penalties for 39 yards for Tampa."

I've found a ton of articles leading up to the game where Chiefs writers are talking about their concern with this guy as the referee only for this guy to yet again, decide it with his flag but went the other way.

Cheffers plays

Why on Earth other than desiring to rig a game like the NBA would do with Dick Bavetta, would you select a guy who loves to throw flags this much? No way do I want fans talking about officiating after game so don't reward guys who are notorious for making deciding calls and so flag happy.

Someone seems jealous. Also philly corner came out and said it was a hold

Eagles CB James Bradberry said in the locker room that he held JuJu Smith-Schuster: “It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide."
Once again, that isn't the point. They could call that EVERY PLAY. Why call it there when the game is on the line? Which in turn, proves my point that the NFL is the easiest game to " fix " because the refs have discretion to call a penalty when ever they want. How many times have we watched a game on TV when the announcer will say, " looks like he got away with a little hold there "

You think the NFL helped the Pats given Deflategate punishment? I hated the Pats but short of the Tuck Rule which was by the rule at the time, I don't recall them being carried to Super Bowls on controversial calls. They lost plenty of times in the postseason.

Just this past season Brady got bailed out on an atrocious RTP call against the Falcons that got them the win, The protection he gets has been happening for YEARS. You cant touch him.

And now, it will be (or has been) Mahomes getting the protection. And based on the responses from fellow Patriot fans.. they are NOT happy about it.

It was a bad call against the Falcons. He's definitely been protected in terms of being hit but he's not being bailed out constantly with pass interference calls. You could him the guy pre the rules changing.

Not just Pats fans seeing the Chiefs treatment. It's all fans outside KC. It's routinely been happening all season. The NFL's decision to just by default hand them the No. 1 seed by not replaying the Bengals/Bills game, the pass interference calls to bail them out of two additional losses this season, the Bengals game, and then this Super Bowl, it's constant.

NFL is like the NBA protecting stars.

It may be getting worse. I'll need to see more. But I just can't listen to Pats fans whine about this when their QB has been getting his own protection for years.

I don't think the NFL made that game postponement decision to help the chiefs.. but that's just me. I think it was an unfortunate situation where someone was gonna get screwed. But I don't think kmit was done purposely to help KC.

The NFL is going to protect its money makers. All sports do. I don't like it at all, fwiw.. but I can't help but laugh that Mahomes is being given some easy wins, just like Brady got.. and it's driving Pats fans mad.

More than the calls it is the no-calls on Chiefs offensive line that becomes magically the best in the NFL. You look at the 4th quarter of the Bengals game and they didn't even try to hide it. Hendrickson and Hubbard were being tackled out there right in front of the refs as they had to keep Mahomes upright to make his magical plays. Allowing the Chiefs to hold in order to protect Mahomes is a gigantic advantage. They just blanked an Eagles rush that was the 3rd best in the history of the NFL. Another magical performance by that KC offensive line.

How many holding calls went against KC?

Not sure if it was mentioned, but the field was a mess last night.

They interviewed The Sodfather a few days before the game and he said this was the 2nd best field condition in decades.

Sadly, he’s 94 and this was his last hurrah.

I didn’t have a dog in the hunt so I was just happy that it was a close game.

You could blame the outcome of the game on that one call I guess. It was a hold no doubt. But like many have stated...you could call that on just about any play in the game so why call it at that crucial point of the game? I get that.

However...the fumble by Hurts in the 1st half was huge. Game changer. You could also point to the fact that the Eagles defense got manhandled on just about every possession in the 2nd half. KC was able to run, pass...pretty much do whatever they wanted to do in that 2nd half. That fake motion play they scored on twice was genius. Smart to run it with a different player the second time. Philly didn’t adjust well after halftime on either side of the ball.

Also, say what you want about Mahomes...but that guy is a baller. Pretty impressive what he was able to do this season after losing his best WR to free agency. He will win at least a couple more SB’s maybe more.

I'm mad the chiefs kicked a field goal at the end. I put $5 on Draft Kings for either team to score 40. Would have won $25 :(

Was it the sod or the paint? They said all the paint is what made everything so slick so maybe the old sod guy was right but they made him take the fall because the fancy production people that had to give the whole field nice woke signage certainly aren't going to take the blame. How can you have a Super Bowl without "End Racism" end zones?

One thing here that some people saw going into this game, was that the Eagles not only had one of the easiest schedules on the year, but also during the playoffs. The overachieving Giants (who also had a joke of a schedule), and then San Fran with its 4th string QB.

I kind of wondered the same. How good IS this Eagles team, really? And I think we saw at least a little bit of that yesterday, when they played KC.

That's not to say that KC didn't get the calls (oh and BTW and who called this 3 weeks ago?).. I just don't know if the Eagles pass rush was really THAT good. They're very good, but maybe not the world beaters they looked like the last month or two.

I was happy for Hurts that he played so well. Best game I've ever seen him play. Wish the guy could have won it as there is no quit in him no matter how many times he gets knocked down.

Just knowing he and Philly are going to stymie The Cowboys for a long time makes me smile.

I am pissed the NFL screwed the Bengals so State Farm Golden Boy Mahomes could play in State Farm stadium in the very first black vs black QB rigged setup.

I look for KC to blow them out but I am rooting for the Eagles. Hurts is a tragic figure. Always has been. You got to think he is going to choke. But I hope somehow he pulls it out. The slobfest over Mahomes makes me sick and I want to see them lose.
Racist much?

I hate Mahomes mostly cause of his family but he's already had more postseason success than most legends. Think about how awesome Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Dan Marino are/were. Each of them only got to the Super Bowl one time.

Nothing is ever guaranteed and the window can close up faster than people think. I hope Burrow doesn't join that list.

Kind of torn on Mahomes. He is a fierce competitor and I like that. He is really good at interviews as well. It really isn't his fault he has been nauseatingly anointed as the Chosen One and he isn't LaBron Jamesing it yet, either.

On the other hand he has a little prissiness to him that is annoying. He pooches his butt out a little bit even when he's playing. You can see how self-conscious he is and that is always unattractive.
